Directors exercising their old warrants is not the same as pure selling. They have a 'net' increase in their shareholding. They always sell a portion to pay for the cost plus tax on exercising the warrants.

Bamps said it is a waste of GGP monies to pay for the resource update, since eventually Newmont will prepare their own. Fair point. But I like you all would like to know the most current resource size so am happy Shaun is drafting the report for peer review. However it will be Nov or Dec at the earliest for the report to be released since Newmont take possession in November. Again, we just have to wait. But Shaun knows we all want to know the size.

Hi Tig, hope you are well. Shaun was in London last week and answers Q&As on this stuff. Worth a listen to his interview. All answers are within. Drilling results will come once GGP receive. Shaun advised they don't send one core at a time to the labs, they are packaged together and sent in a batch for processing. Fl-ynn advised 2 months to get results back. So we wait.

Also the days of GGP being a pure exploration play are over. Which is how 5bill shares on issue come about. GGP will soon become an income earning miner with exploration as well. Happy days.

If a company fund raises to buy an income producing asset it’s an accretive transaction, value added. Think about the Northern Star story. If you look at their early fund raises to buy gold mines … as long as the mine is the right choice for the right price, happy days. We have a very experienced Board in place who know the industry more so than the back seat drivers here. So if they decide to raise funds via equity and debt to buy gold mines I have to trust they know what they are doing. They’ve all done it before.

Possible outcomes … at this stage Shaun indicated 3… (1) existing JV structure continues (2) Newmont attempt to buy our 30% (3) Newmont look to sell Telfer+Hav. Who knows what’ll happen, Toffers doesn’t, I don’t, Shaun doesn’t.

It’s been indicated that early 2024 Newmont will announce their plans for divestments, cost savings etc. So IMO next weeks Newcrest vote to sell to Newmont won’t instantly mean these plans will be known any sooner. The keys are handed over to Newmont in early November.

Let’s hope from all the current drilling on our Paterson ground, our Ernest Giles ground, the Juri JV ground, and RIO JV ground, that something massive is hit. Very frustrated how long this all takes and living on hope.

18p we will see it again IMO. Also you can average down to take advantage of the ride back up. Otherwise, if you honestly don't believe 18p will be achieved why keep holding?

Personally I don't pay attention to Toffers as her views have no alignment to anything Shaun said last week during his London visit.

I don't see this vote changing the share price. Newmont are expected to get a positive vote to buy Newcrest. Official handing over the keys is early November. Then add a few months for Newmont to decide which assets to keep and which to sell. So could be 5 months or so before we know what Newmont want to do with Telfer, their share of Havieron, and all their Paterson JVs.

HZM share price is down 50% today .... just looked it up after reading the article link below. The insinuation from Riccardo (Ghost) is that the same will happen to GGP. Unsure they can be compared so easily. We are Australia versus Brazil. We have 30% and not 100% to fund, so that hedges us in a way. We have Wyloo backing us. Lots of differences.
