Back when Telfer was being built we didn’t have the greenies controlling everything. The social media. They quietly built Telfer with little fuss. Can you imagine the shid that would be created by greenies when trying to build another Telfer. Sheesh.

Telfer is over 40 years old. Takes a long time to create what Telfer is. Nobody lives there, you don’t simply drive to work. It is a fly in and fly it work environment. Staff live onsite about 2 weeks at a time. Telfer and its town need to stay. The cost to rebuild similar is insane, plus the time, the permitting, aboriginal approvals etc. Telfer was built before aboriginals had the rights they have now.

The restoration costs relate to the massive hole in the ground from the above ground mining over decades. Plus removal of the town etc. So it’s in all interests to ensure Telfer remains relevant for many many decades to come. Haviern. Antipa. And others who can use Telfer to process ore for the region.

Telfer has a road network connecting to it, a gas pipeline, housing, airfield, etc. It can’t be moved. You either keep it as is or tear it down. Keep it makes sense.

GGP do employ geologists who’ve worked at mines so you’d think all options are being explored to maximise output and minimise cost

Any of you have experience with gold copper mines? I don’t but common sense says no. Look at Telfer on a map. The sheer size. The leaching. The dams. There is a lot more to it than you think. YouTube will have many videos on Telfer if you search, see the size of the operation and all the parts that comprise it. Research is free.

I want the same as you all…. for GGP to make the right steps that lead to a much higher share price

Maintain our ESG credentials. I’m keen to see GGP on the ASX as the demand for shares should increase significantly.

Is simple shareholders want two things… no negative share dilution and a much higher share price. GGP management own shares and options also want this. Let’s see what the Board can do here to ensure we all win.

You’d have to think Newmont are selling the chosen assets as “going concerns” so all assets and liabilities are bought by the new owner.

The Crescat video guy said Newmont should be looking into massive tier 1 deposits like Snowline as an example. EG and our other tenements won’t involve Newmont. I was thinking that I wonder if De Greys land would interest Newmont. Tbh I don’t really care so much about Newmont as GGP and Newmont’s relationship is ending soon and I want to know what is next for GGP, that’s where my money is invested after all.

Mark Barnaba will also be attending the Town Hall I believe, that’s what he said on the AGM call.

We’ve already discussed Shaun tweeting on Tuesday about the TH and then Newmont releasing the news on Thursday. It’s professional courtesy to inform your business partners of such important news that will directly impact them BEFORE it’s released to the market. Would be unprofessional for GGP to find out via the press rather than via Newmont directly.

Shaun knew this news from Newmont would cause alarm so he tweeted about the TH immediately. We all wondered what news if any Shaun would be discussing, then we found out Thursday.

This is how professionally run businesses should operate, all above board and courteous to all stakeholders. Reputation is everything in business.

I do love my coffee monkey as I read this board, cheers to happy and prosperous 2024. Looks like GGP could become an income producing gold company this year, amazing. Shaun will have plenty of questions to answer on the 5th so I suspect Plode, Monkey, IOT etc etc will all be there.

Article last year said Northern Star and Evolution aren’t interested. Evolution’s latest financial results were reviewed by Money of Mine the other day, not pretty reading they said. Greatland Gold in the box seat I hope.

How’d you calculate $750million?

That suggests when adding back a liability of say $500mill for site restoration it’s being sold over $1billion.

I don’t know what the final numbers will be but that feels high to me.

That is illogical, so no nothing goes to the other JV party for free. There is a right of refusal in terms of buying it if one party did not want to proceed with the project.
