I won’t be too surprised if there’s a placing, only in the sense that I’m never that surprised when an explorer raises a bit of money. These companies always say they have plenty of money right up to a placing. It’s actually a reasonable position to take, since otherwise fear of a placing drives down the SP. It’s also perfectly possible for it to be true that there is money, yet a placing still be done (nobody wants to spend down to a point where they don’t have enough money). So if it’s true I won’t be surprised or outraged.

On the other hand, it would seem a strange decision to place prior to the KSZ news, just in terms of getting best price, UNLESS there is some specific transaction-related need to do so (eg proposed partner requires that we have a certain amount of liquid capital)

Since Khoemacau are the owners of the banana zone, if there were to be something in Ella’s idea below the interest from AA would presumably relate to our LVR JV licence which is considered a banana zone analogue (rather than to the Kanye licences)

From a non-expert perspective, it sounds moderately positive insofar as we have intersected a decent amount of rock which may be carbonatitic but clearly more work is needed to determine whether it is and whether it is prospective etc. Much as both Ben and Jeremy said would be the case. I don’t know whether the other rock formations referred to - doleritic carbonate etc - are likely to be of interest.

Really not sure where you’ve got that from. In fact, KAV have drilled the Proterozoic twice and found it where they expected both times. When they hit it in target area A, it was just 1m different to what their model had predicted and they made a big deal about the extreme accuracy.

Feeling good about KAV today. Last night’s presentation reminded me why I’m here and why it’s necessary to take a longer term view and not obsess about the share price. Difficult to have that discipline, particularly with a large holding, but this morning I feel glad to have held and added. Looking forward with renewed patience and confidence!

Excellent presentation on Stockbox. I know he has annoyed some shareholders recently but Ben really is a cut above at presenting. He apologised for the poor comms earlier this year and said lesson learnt.

Big update on KSZ is to come, expected fairly soon now. Sounds like it will combine all sorts of data: petrology, assay, TDEM, DHEM, gravity, AMT. There was a hint that they are particularly excited about the Proterozoic (or so I read it - anyone disagree?). General tone very positive

Yes, it’s clearly wrong to characterise it as just an agreement to talk - there’s no need for an agreement for that. You sign heads of terms if (a) you want to work together, (b) you’re agreed on the main points as to how it will work, (c) you still have work to do on the detail, and (d) you’ve decided it’s worth committing the time and cost that the work on the detail requires

You can be sceptical about whether heads of terms will turn into completed transactions with provision of funding, but I don’t think you can be sceptical about whether the heads of terms exist!

I would just like to record my thanks and congratulations to Scott and the board. Scott and James seem to be trailed round by bitter people accusing them of never achieving anything, but actually they’ve managed to get partnerships with major funding potential on both sides of our business (FGS and PNG). Both of these deals are of a scale that most micro caps can only dream of. One is a big achievement, two is very impressive. Well done!
