Obviously we have to announce material news without delay, except where we might hold back material news because it's not quite ready because it's a bit to early to tie in with the government strategy.... ;)

It's all in the interpretation. What it really means by saying they know of no material reason for the rise, is that they dont know of any leaks in information and its covering their arses for any wrongdoing. It's not denial that there isn't value to be unlocked by the progress they are yet to confirm.

What were they supposed to say in the RNS.....

Erm yeah we're up over 60% because after the share price has been held back after last news whilst a seller offloads at any price holding back the lst rise and the market makers happily accumulated stock, dimwits have finally put the pieces of the puzzle together based on the obvious messages coming from all the consortium members and the government and the market makers have taken this opportunity to let it go selling into a rise knowing a speeding ticket would come out and they could get all their stock back much cheaper. And by the way lets not wait for government strategy, the tests are pukka, they'll be in boots and on Amazon within days and if you test positive you can go on your lads bender to spain.

Look at a one minute chart with volume. Look at the volume in the few minutes after the rns 3.53 and 3.54. It went from 88 to 69 on 20,000 share volume. Now tell me sellers cause the drop or did mms cause the drop and then people panic sold?

You Cannot compare this to a placing shafting. If a placing was coming there is no way it would have dropped back down they would have let it run up and up.
No doubt someone orchestrated a shafting if sorts today but your only shafted if you bought high and sold low, and that’s never a good plan.
Amongst all the disappointment there is further confirmation today that what we are waiting for is close.
It might be a blessing in disguise for me as i have a sipp transfer pending . This is the hottest aim stock out there at the moment. Anyone who tells you different is wrong imo.

The consortium is only about the development of the test. Once design freeze happens each partner has a right to take that design and manufacture as many as it is capable of and sell as many as it can. Government will be the priority customer. Omega will manufacture as many as it can at marginal cost, and sell for the selling price. Number of units x selling price - marginal cost. It's that simple.

Current capacity - 200k Scotland + 322k at Cambridge = 522k test per week = 27.1m a year
Proposed capacity - 500k Scotland + 700k cambridge = 1.2m per week = 62m a year.

Please tell me where the concern is about how big an opportunity for Omega this is?

I am convinced our broker/nomad/mm in this stock are working a position for a large II IMO.

Faz i agree it could have been better worded i said that earlier, but there's certainly no bad news.

This sentence is a bog standard sentence which is basically a disclaimer saying that they haven't leaked any news to cover their arses. ie no insider dealing.

I can understand frustrations as they have been very secretive and not forthcoming with news. Why no RNS on increased capacity? Quick to defend the rise but nothing to substantiate progress. It will work out in the long run, and rises will be sustained.

Repost of something i put on this morning before the interview. Now tell me no reason for sp increase, and it doesn't need 50m figure to make it attractive.

Track and trace due 1 June, confirmation from the Welsh government that logging of test results will be an add on
No other self test kit of any noteworthy approval

SP rise was because we are on the cusp of being part of delivering our generations most important medical device. 20+ jobs being recruited. All the noise about this coming to fruition.

SP rises because mms allow it. This is not CKs fault or rampers. Its the market, the system and the players. First time mms allow it to rise, they rise it so hard a speeding ticket comes and they immediately take it down collecting cheap shares.

Just listened again, CK doesn't mention any numbers of tests.The reporter mentioned 50m when talking about Omega working with the consortium.
This speeding ticket might have been necessary but had it been slightly better worded would have had a different reaction.
They could have just referred you back to RTC mou and could have taken the opportunity to talk about the new production facility.
Dont forget this company were so under the radar only 3 months ago, never expected and not used to having the world watching.

just an indication of where this is going. To me it was clear CK was talking on behalf of the consortium. 200k up to 500k tests per week + 10k in cambridge, is our capacity. Will be more than enough to achieve the sp predictions. The key is further validation this is happening.

He hasn't said anything on sky that researched investors didn't already know. It's called groundwork. Laying the foundations for when the RNS lands.
The mere significance of being on SKY TV with the advertised 20+ jobs, upscaled production facility, with track and trace updates due, plus the time frame of available by June are all pieces of the puzzle which people are starting to put together.

Reliability figures you wont see yet.....

Look back at why the consortium was set up in the first place, because no other test was reliable. They stated from the outset no test is better than a bad test. Been comments from RTC for weeks they are close to 100%. Jon Bell talks about it being gold standard with global demand.

They are hardly going to go to all this trouble and bring out an inferior test. It is a given the test will be as accurate as humanly possible.
