I have seen at least 2 news sites reporting this showing Rapid Testing kits. Shows they they don't really know what they are reporting or deliberately misleading.

Doesn't say it's with Roche. All that has been said is....

Britain has agreed a deal to acquire antibody tests, a spokesman for Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Thursday, saying the tests would be free and health and care workers would be prioritised.

“Have we now agreed a deal on the antibody testing? The answer to that is yes,” the spokesman told reporters, adding that health minister Matt Han**** would offer more details later.

Which is consistent with the claim that there is a press release later. Being that Roche is a lab test, it could well be that this is the RTC moment being misconstrued.

Spot on the competition shows how valuable this space is and how desperate companies are to get into it. Just read through twitter how many people are now starting to get interested in anti body testing and would be desperate to take one approved by the Government.

Most of the companies out there are trying to make a test good enough for someone to say they can sell it so they can make money from it.

What we have is a test where the primary objective is to make the best quality test possible, not just one good enough, and monetisation is secondary. RTC product will be far superior to anything else and will sell like hot cakes.

Precisely - Abbott would have been banging on Boots door before Superdrugs. Clearly boots didn't want these tests. Huge market, they wont not want to get in this space. They will know what's going on with RTC.

The fact that it's in Superdrug rather than anywhere else speaks wonders. It's the smallest chemist brand in the UK. Why have they gone to Superdrug rather than one of the bigger pharmacies? Boots, Lloyds, supermarkets??? Well Boots have already been mentioned as a distribution channel for RTC. It screams of desperation to enter this space from players that aren't number one.

People will only have confidence in a test if the government come out and champion it.

Collection of data is key. They don't want millions of tests to be distributed and get no data feedback from those tests.

From the government point of you, there's more to it than the actual test. There's the so what. What does a negative/positive test mean?

TBH i am a little more confused why we have had no further update on the Mologic lab tests rather than the POC which i am not surprised there's secrecy around it.
Its been nearly a month since we were told of CE mark, with further validations pending and expectation of a commercial agreement with Mologic. Its about time we found out what's going on with this? Who are using the tests? What is the commercial agreement? Have we decided not to pursue it because the capacity is better used for RTC POC tests?

Sweet, got my top up in at a price i am happy with. Possibly could have got a better price by waiting, but im in it for the long game not interested in seeing if it drops 5%.
Despite the lack of news and other companies doing their own thing around us, there is a lot to be confident about here IMO.

Personally i think the test track and trace that the NHS app tested in IOW looks to be a load of rubbish. The symptoms assessment is no better than people going online and googling symptoms and then leading to conclusions about what they think they have. If you compare that to the offerings of our RTC partners in their capabilities to analyse actual test results its worlds apart. The rolls royce solution would be a home swab antigen test and a home antibody test, dual package with actual results captured. You can only really be sure of your status if you take both (unless antigen positive)

Looking at and comparing to other companies is an important investment approach in particular to understanding value. It's obvious to look at AVCT. The main thing to say is that it should give confidence in our valuation and potential for where it can get to on the news we expect. No intention of ****ging off Avacta, i like the company, i just think they are doing things complete opposite to us, and in my experience the risk profile is at opposite ends of the spectrum at current prices.

It’s better long term to only announce material news. I really don’t like the way they are doing things over there they are massively trying to oversell themselves and prop up the share price. There is far too much future value priced in based on things that might come to fruition. They rnsd the sending of a parcel! Great company and a game changer if everything comes off but value too far ahead.
It’s better to be a company that deliver then talk about it than to create hype and expectation which you may or may not deliver on.

I feel next week is probably more likely the big week. I may have self hope and interest that that is the case as i plan to double my holding on Thursday. Rising trend line being respected, should keep us in this kind of range until Friday.
Think we will be part of national news in the next 10 days.

They are not necessarily falling behind in terms of progress, they have a more complex situation with the consortium and government interest. They are not doing as good a job at building the share price, because of this which should give more comfort that value is getting away from itself like in certain other stocks. It will move very quickly once news starts to flow. Already have production capacity up-scaled. Can't see a better risk reward covid play right now IMO.
Personally still hoping for a major top up later in the week at this price so hopping this continues for a bit longer.

I wouldn't worry about background trades. It will drive you crazy trying to work it out. But I'm certain they wouldn't print a 1.6m trade, it will be broken down into chunks if it did exist.

If there is a big trade out there i would say its a buy broken down into chunks based on volume and price data i am seeing.
