I do like to start from the presumption of decency/honesty, if that's what you mean, but I am well aware AIM is full of sharks, leeches and slippery eels who promise the ocean and deliver a puddle. TYM's hierarchy do strike me as leechy for sure. Their history is abject failure after failure, but the potential for a spike, as you say, is there. I may take £1k after next placing. Not a keeper though. I can see that now. Have you spotted some inconsistencies re INFA's statements? Surely they can't outright lie re number of interested parties, if they've a decent nomad?

If you read the government's position on mining though and the role they want it to play in growing the economy, you'll see it's out of kilter with these decisions. Clues are already in the RNS, the Mining Inspectorate has based its current decision on the same evidence and criteria as the CAB. They won't be wrong. But given these laws are brand new, you will get clarifications and amendments. It'll take time, but that's something I have and don't forget they've said Possehl will back them financially responsible acquisitions. I think that becomes more pressing/likely now, given Swedish headache. They'll be looking for a new story to tell...

I didn't want us to leave, but I think the long term risk to our democratic society by not leaving is far more important than the short to medium economic risk. People's trust in the pillars of Western society (the judiciary, parliament, the press) have been eroded. If they don't follow through on Brexit, the Tommy Robinsons will be proven right and there will be hell to pay. The Far Right will rise. Better to accept the outcome, leave and forge a new path. Putin's marshal arts inspired masterclass in using your enemy's strengths against themself: he's used our cultural diversity, our democracy, our open internet, open markets and freedom of speech to turn us on each other, commit economic hari-kari, undermine NATO and EU post war allegiances and simultaneously undermine the appeal of democracy for those living under his autocracy. The man is a genius strategist and has reinvented warfare. I think we have to leave and then recover together as one nation. However, it'll be hard as long as he's supporting the far right and sewing division and hate. The longer term goal could be to keep supporting the Far Right until they've democratically risen across Europe before double crossing them and legitimately begin referring to us all as Nazis and then, well, there is only one outcome. Hey filter, I'd personally stick to the booze. discovered through friend of friend whose wife worked in psychiatry that loads of the lifers in mental hospitals are long term weed users. They literally lose their minds. Terrifying. That's my dad speech out the way...! Recognise JAN as one of Cam's calls while back have seen lots of VAST noise available while back. Have to say I know v little about those. Supposed to be at the bottom of a commodities cycle... Seen some amazing charts that suggest it's a good place to be chart wise. I guess alot depends on economy though right? I see the FTSE flirting with 7000 again this week. I think China-US trade deal is on, Brexit is off and the indexes keep on searching til they reach the highest ground.

Thing is, there is a role for some short punty hype plays. I'd it possible to play to different styles with different %s of your portfolio? E.g. 20% high risk high reward punty short term and 80% high conviction high reward sound long term plays? Difficult to maintain discipline I'll bet

Hey Filter, good to hear from you. What stocks you in atm? Yeh INFA so far so good. Statistically, it had to happen at some point didn't it? I mean me getting one right. This has singlehandedly brought my pf back up to evens. Rest is carnage. NCCL is looking primed for next mover although I'm out of there on spike as I think GE are a risk.
Cam, yeh I was joking. Not really worried. If you look at chart it's been one of those steady but persistent risers since .24 staying under radar suits me fine.

You'd think so, threeputt. But, like a hapless/hopeless romantic, I've fallen in love again... This TYM it's different, I tell myself. You see, I had a vision. I think INFA and I could go the distance. She's the real deal. I think an ii is responsible for today's rise (L&G and AXA previously invested but sold down while AP took over). It's the kind of long-term, steady dividend-paying investment that those more cautious companies / funds are looking for especially with an economic downturn heading our way. I think my money is probably safer there than in cash or gold. Beaten down but now advanced, essential gov backed infrastructure project with big commercial backers feels like a good place to invest right now. That's why INFA and NCCL feel right at the moment. Will probably live to regret it, but the new CEO is properly invested as are the rest of the board. I will sell half on the equity funding news spike and look for a re-entry thereafter. I want to build a stake. I await the inevitable slap in the face from the market!

Btw, fwiw, I think TYM could pop again on any positive news, just like before and NCCL is due to finally pop around February. INFA is probably too far gone,but I intend to hold long and strong.on that one. I need a big win. Good luck all.
