Oil and gas projects continues to expand at a rapid pace in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, and the operators have signed the Final Investment Decision (FIDs) and some are expected to sign their own FIDs over the next couple of months in order to commence work on their respective projects. As deepwater projects, FPSOs, and other vessels multiply and spread into deep offshore in Nigeria, the need for more investments increases greatly.

Am expecting positive news here in the next 7-10 days this could be shaping up to be a very interesting recovery play this year after the numerous delays. Imagine the potential re-rate here should an alternative source of funding be announced as opposed to a placing plus confirmation of the rig and a positive update on the licence. If all this comes off and they are able to progress to production realistically this will be trading anywhere between 1-2p a share

Dear OST on advfn - your obsession with me is appreciated as you have clearly looked into what I have invested in lol. All you need to know is I have made £150k+ over last 6 months so I'm obviously doing something right. As for 7dig I got lucky there selling most of my holding at 1.5p and the rest of it at 1.1p a couple of weeks before the horrendous update. Didn't quite reach my 40M target here as this hasn't pulled back this week like I thought it might which is a good thing I suppose lol. Managed to get a few half decent size buys this week below .3 which was my aim so am quite happy to hold at 35M. If this drops back I'm tempted to add but unlikely imo

Lol just lol poor OST on advfn is bursting a blood vessel as he believes I have lied about buying 3.2M shares this afternoon and that it in fact was a sell! OST look at the time! 15:37 there is a 4M sell @ 0.294 15:56 there is a trade of 3.2M @ 0.305 which is my buy muppet!

It could well be that this is the final hurdle the interested parties wanted dealing with to allow financing arrangements to be concluded. Therefore I think news on that front is looking imminent now :)

Agreed - today's announcement is exciting in so much that it heralds the start of a new chapter. I think with the recent appointment of SP Angel we should expect regular newsflow from this point on with regards to financing agreements and the diamonds.

Let's not forget that Graham used to sit on the board of Dana petroleum seeing it through their turbulent times during 2014. All things considered I feel more confident of the prospects here believe it or not and potential recovery in SP now than I did prior to the board changes when this was trading at between 0.7-0.8p

I must admit the way the placing was carried out was a complete shock to me too. I have tried to take advantage by accumulating as I can see a sharp recovery back to the .4/.5 area in next few weeks for starters. This has become a long term hold for me.

ZIMBABWE has set itself a lofty target of increasing its diamonds output by over 300 percent by 2030.

The country hopes to produce 12 billion carats by 2030, up from 2,8 billion carats currently produced from Chiadzwa fields in the east.
