Gas to wire offers an alternative method of economically recovering offshore gas resources. Rather than developing and exporting gas using traditional methods, gas is converted to power using gas turbine generators located on an offshore platform and the power is transmitted to shore using subsea power cables.

Benefits of recovering gas resources using this method for the Company and MFDevCo include:

Hi Setanta - whilst I agree with pCloud that the SPV is only at LOI stage as of 28th March this imo could quickly change if we are to believe that 2 project's in particular are at a very advanced stage in negotiations having moved forward quickly.
Plus GTW project's may not necessarily be limited to just the SNS UK gas fields as per 12th Feb RNS.....

Siemens is working with MFDevCo with an initial focus on UK projects but is also keen to investigate other projects that MFDevCo is pursuing worldwide.

Plus the intention for a long term working relationship with Siemens means there is a serious effort being made to deliver results on both sides and therefore not a one trick pony with regards to GTW imo.
My view here is that Nuog are focussing on getting one maybe two deals over the line with GTW project's and once this has been achieved perhaps the focus will be back on Garden Hills

A provincial election in Newfoundland and Labrador has been called for May 16, 2019. The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) has released its energy platform document, Oil and Natural Gas Priorities for a Prosperous Newfoundland and Labrador. The document outlines issues of concern to the upstream oil and natural gas sector along with a series of recommended actions. These recommendations are designed to promote a strong growth scenario for the oil and natural gas industry in the province, increase competitiveness in the global energy market, and attract more investment.
“A healthy offshore oil and natural gas industry benefits all of Canada, and builds on the backbone of our economy,” says Paul Barnes, Director, Atlantic and Arctic.

OGA area manager Eric Marston said, “Gas-to-wire has the potential to both help maximise the UK’s remaining gas resources while also boosting electricity generation offshore, with associated benefits for both gas producers and windfarm operators. We continue to see interest from a number of developers and operators seeking to commercialise this opportunity.”

EEEGR chief executive Simon Gray said, “For the last 18 months we have had a number of our members considering this sector. When we first looked at this opportunity, the barriers to market seemed too difficult to overcome. However, the legislative difficulties now seem to be surmountable, the technology achievable and the market more willing to consider this as a real opportunity.”

MP for Waveney Peter Aldous said, “This initiative with the gas and offshore wind industries working together is very much to be welcomed.

“Gas and offshore wind are vitally important component parts of the UK’s energy policy and significant advantages are to be gained from the two sectors collaborating in this way. These include the potential to reduce operating costs, ensuring that offshore infrastructure is fully utilised and balancing the grid at times that windfarms are not producing electricity. You must not remember me Royscot from ages ago when I only had 5k punted here and I was the one challenging certain posters who were coming out with crazy SP valuations and shouting about "transformational news" and "imminent" and "short order" blah blah blah.
You won't get any ramping from me just the facts and a dose of realism and I'm sure some of the posters who are silent will soon be back. The recent placing imo was not only unexpected but incredibly harsh and has allowed a good entry point for someone like myself to accumulate.
There will be news that I'm sure of this year on at least 2-3 deals especially now GS is here. Graham was the catalyst for me to buy in heavy here as I now see further positive updates and changes are likely which should have a very positive impact on the SP short to medium term.

again to discuss activities and news" ......let's just hope it's the positive material news we're all waiting for but I have to say I thought today's interview was pretty good and at least it ends the silence since Graham's podcast at the end of March.
My personal realistic view on timeframes for getting "a deal" over the line bearing in mind the first one is likely to be centred around GTW is end May time.
Given that they said this in 12th April RNS,
"two distinct GTW opportunities are being prioritised where discussions with operators have advanced quickly so far"
and we have confirmation in today's interview that discussions are at a very advanced stage with some......
"It's worth saying that a number of those negotiations are very advanced and are moving quite quickly" from today's interview.
Ever hopeful for the future here despite the huge disappointment to date for shareholders in general. My conviction in success here is based on the fact I am happy to invest so much and effectively put my money where my mouth is.

EkXoc - having looked into the potential for GTW and how it could be a good fit for nuog I must say I'm very optimistic about any ongoing developments. It was mentioned very recently on 12th April:

"MfDevCo is now pursuing multiple projects which fit the GTW model. In particular, two distinct GTW opportunities are being prioritised where discussions with operators have advanced quickly so far"

As for existing assets over in Newfoundland hopefully we'll learn of progress being made there this year too....

Been saying to myself next 2 weeks are crucial for the last 3 months. Getting very frustrated with this one the only podcast I want to hear from AP now is talking about having reached an offtake agreement and agreed terms with a cornerstone investor for the diamonds.
Something like 1.5B extra shares in issue since I bought in here in Jan it's about time there was something to show for it.

Hoping to add a few more here soon hopefully before a further production update lands which should be pretty positive. My view here is that there are sufficient funds to continue to drive this to profitably for 2019 and beyond

with garden hills, there is plenty of oil there of that there is no doubt, but it needs to be gotten out of the ground. But just remember that no shareholders cash is being risked there and all the cost are falling on PVF. You have seen that they have already spent $1 m there - never mind the £20 million spent by Enegi Oil in the past, all waiting as a loss in the account to be booked to future revenue of course - and there are plans to see if a better solution with a wider group can be put in place to drive that play and EL1070 forward. Get that sorted and GH alone will add multiples to the market cap. We have also seen that they have developed a model around Helvick and Dunmore that is a repeatable one that they can transport to the hundreds of opportunities that are out there around the globe.

Graham Scotton joining with his deal making background and 40 years of upstream oil and gas experience. I doubt if he came here to be a failure.

given that Graham has implemented a policy of no insiders and no leaks - a policy that seems to be working successfully and very clearly demonstrated by the announcement on Royal Eagle which came as a complete surprise to everyone.

Royscot I am being careful in so much that I have invested my own funds here at a time where changes have recently been made and will continue to be made during 2019 to drive this forward.
Am I glad I bought in at an avg of 0.29 instead of 1p+? You bet!
Based on the research I have carried out myself along with keeping realistic expectations re potential SP valuation I am more than happy to be invested at current levels and anyone else that tries to question my reasons or sanity for doing so really makes no difference to me.
The past is the past. I am only interested in looking forward here. I have my own views on the recent placing but simply put I do believe if they needed more than 500k which includes the OO then they would have done so. My view is that there is something else going on in the background that means this was all that was required. If things were that desperate in that more funds were needed they would either have raised at least £1M at 0.30 or even less to get the placing away at a time when the SP was trading between 0.55-0.60p. No clues or leaks are being given away by the company whatsoever which is how it should be. Individually we either have faith in the prospects and deliverability at this stage after all the delays or we don't simples.

Comes down to individually whether or not we have faith he will. I won't be saying much more on the matter but he is here for a reason. I have faith in his ability to bring something to the table for nuog. Whether my timing is right or not doesn't worry me but I will say I am very positive about progress for 2019 here ;)

SBP - I'm quite happy to remain below 5% for now as for knowing what I'm doing? Well let me give you a hint. This is a long term hold for me having bought in at a price that I have taken full advantage of and a price I never thought I would see Nuog back to. A number of projects are reaching maturity that is for certain and as a major shareholder I want to be part of the story that will unfold. Timing though is key as always.
GS now being on board who turned things around with Dana petroleum during their dark days is good enough for me. Whether I get my full OO allocation I end up asking for remains to be seen as there's a chance it could be overscribed. Either way I'll pick up at least 3M on my standard entitlement as it stands so I'm happy.
By the way Bluebird has risen again now fully restored and back on the water just this week. Now it's Nuog's time to rise again lol
