Siemens/Gas to wire24 May 2019 22:52
Interesting that back in 2016 Siemens got the major order contract for one of the 3 East Anglia windfarm project's approx 40km offshore in the Southern North sea. Fast forward 3 years and construction is well under way and due to be completed by next year again involving Siemens.
Siemens receives major order for offshore wind power plant
Siemens has received a major order for its offshore wind power business: the company is to supply, install and commission 102 wind turbines, each with a capacity of seven megawatts and a rotor diameter of 154 metres, for the East Anglia ONE project.

Manor Renewable Energy (MRE) has contracted with Siemens Gamesa to provide the full temporary power package of generators, personnel and vessels during the turbine installation phase of the East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm.
The 714MW East Anglia ONE will comprise 102 Siemens SWT-7.0-154 wind turbines installed on jacket foundations at the site some 43 kilometres offshore Lowestoft in the UK. The wind farm is due for completion in 2020.
I don't think it's any accident that Siemens has joined in with the gas to wire initiative.
"Siemens becomes the second company, following Marnavi Offshore ("Marnavi"), to join MFDevCo's gas to wire initiative"
"Siemens, a world-renowned digital pioneer that focuses on electrification and automation, brings key capabilities and experience to this initiative, as well as the market position required to assist MFDevCo in capitalising on its gas to wire opportunities".
There are currently over 30 UK Southern North sea gas fields which ceased production in 2018. Those gas fields are;
Alison, Ann, Annabel, Atlas, Boulton, Boulton H, Callisto, Cavendish, Hunter, Hyperion, Bullet, Kelvin, Ketch, McCadam, Mimas, Murdoch complex, Murdoch satellite, North Valliant, Pickerill, Rhea, Rita, Saturn area, Schooner, South Valiant, Tethys, Topaz, Vanguard, Victoria, Biden and Watt.
I've probably missed some out but these are just some that have ceased production that could be made economical for gas to wire.
Bearing in mind Siemens mean business here I think it's reasonable that we can expect news very soon on progress with SPV and progress on the advancement of a couple of projects.
Immediate funding of up to £500k will be made available subject to conclusion of SPV which once sorted should reduce the need for a placing further down the line.....
"Indicative offers of up to £500,000 for immediate funding have been made, subject to the conclusion of the SPV".
Plus...."Provision of seed capital to MFDevCo will reduce Nu-Oil's general and administration overhead incurred through MFDevCo related costs and staff utilisation."
So Marbur, Royscot or anyone else that want to question my investment here - yes I have carried out my own research before buying in. This is most certainly NOT a punt for me so up yours LOL
