RE: Gas to wire1 Jun 2019 11:02
It's there in black and white and delays in getting deals concluded in the oil and gas sector are not uncommon. Take Infrastrata for example they have been trying to advance their sole gas storage project for over 10yrs and yet they are still some way away from achieving FID on the project. I could think of numerous other AIM listed companies where the same applies. However imo all the work carried out to date along with the unique Mfdevco model puts us in a good position here.
"I am, shareholders will be frustrated by delays in concluding project negotiations. Unfortunately, this is a characteristic of the oil sector as a result of the scale of projects, regulatory and legal hurdles, complexity of operations, construction and general engineering. However, I am confident that we will be able to announce the first acquisition of a marginal field, along with its development plan, in 2019. As we work to close negotiations for larger marginal field projects, I expect the Company to expand its portfolio by acquiring the smaller, late-life projects I have outlined."
"I expect activities in Newfoundland to deliver results within the year ahead. While the marginal fields we are advancing will MFDevCo will be the future of the Company, I look forward to finally seeing past efforts deliver value from these legacy assets."
On the subject of Newfoundland I mentioned this the other week about the potential use of the Fishbones technology as a possible alternative to hydraulic fracturing where the moratorium on fracking currently affects the shallow right's.
Shoal point energy are looking into this technology and it has also been passed onto Nuog who will look at it.
https://youtu.be/LqDBw12_6R0 Here's a video of it.
"EL1070 remains in force whilst the parties to the licence pursue the award of a significant discovery licence ('SDL'). These unique circumstances require that any effort to develop the deep rights is coordinated with SPE's activities with respect to the shallow rights, which are currently restricted by the moratorium on hydraulic fracturing in the region."
So we are well aware that Shoal point energy are also busy trying to obtain an 'SDL' and according to their bb they are close so hopefully progress there will allow progress with the deep right's part we have the licence for as per above paragraph.
