not_Sure.... we all know that you got no reply to your emails last week, the question being along the lines of how many deals are the company currently in negotiations with? We've said this before you won't get a reply with questions like that unless the information you're asking for is in the public domain. I also questioned the relevance of that anyway because the only thing that interests us here is confirmation of a deal or deals that actually materialise here. Right now this is all that matters. I have been in touch a few times and promptly got a response (just saying)

Royscot with the greatest of respect to you I'm afraid you have absolutely NO evidence to suggest we are not closely involved or not near to completing a deal.
I have stated my reasons here for investing heavily and I'm certainly not about to repeat myself for your sake or anyone else's.
It's a relevant article hence why I posted it and certainly is of more benefit than some of the pathetic one and two liner posts put on here by some. If you don't like the article or think there is no relevance then that's because you have written off the possibility of ANY deal here involving Nuog whereas I and a number of other poster's will disagree 100%.
I have watched Nuog closely for the last 12 months and I can see the potential risk/ reward at this level so am I regretting it? Certainly not! Also if I see any other 'relevant articles' worthy of posting I will be sure to do just that. Whether or not you feel it's of any relevance makes no difference to me.

Yes I do - the progression of potential Gas to wire project's has been ongoing for some time - probably since Q4 of 2018 imo.
The RNS from Jan 25th mentioned this -

"There are compelling reasons to adopt this approach on the projects we are currently pursuing and we are working hard to conclude the final elements that will allow us to move forward to delivery."

Yes these projects take time to agree on but my personal opinion is that we are close especially given the recent podcast that a commercial deal could be near.
The timing of the podcast was also interesting given that it was done after the OO deadline so wasn't an attempt to persuade more to take up the OO but a hint that conclusion of at least one deal could be close.

Fair point YingTong - either way any overturn on the fracking ban will be a big positive here so hopefully if the Conservatives over there do win on 16th May as the polls suggest then that should pave the way for the u turn.

This is true, however while Shoal point energy are pursuing the award for an SDL for the shallow right's, any lifting on the fracking ban theoretically would allow Nuog to pursue an SDL for the deep right's without delay

EL1070 was issued in January 2002 and continues to be in good standing beyond its 9-year exploration phase, while partners in the project diligently pursue the award of a Significant Discovery Licence ("SDL") for discoveries within the Shallow Rights section. In order to pursue Shallow Rights hydrocarbons in the Green Point shale it is currently considered that fracking will be necessary, on which there is a moratorium in Newfoundland.

The provincial Conservatives have already signed on to the federal Tory efforts to challenge the carbon tax and have also stated that they want to lift the ban on fracking in Newfoundland.

Nfld. & Labrador ANALYSIS

According to the latest polls, the Tories are leading in Nfld. If Crosbie gets in I'm sure the fracking ban will be lifted.
This would be good news for the offshore licence EL-1070 for Nuog who hold a 100% interest in the deep right's part due to the moratorium currently in place on fracking. Shoal point energy currently hold an interest in the shallow right's part.

"The Deep Rights on EL1070 are defined as all petroleum substances and associated rights within and stratigraphically below the Ordovician Carbonate Platform (excluding Cape Cormorant and Table Cove Formations). The main target within the EL1070 Deep Rights is the Shoal Point prospect, which is a 'conventional' exploration target, and is reachable from an onshore location."

We will in consultation with industry and labour, initiate a review of the development options, economic benefits, execution risks and economic rewards with a view to monetizing this stranded asset. Natural gas brought to shore holds the prospect for job creation and the increased availability of affordable and abundant electricity, a potential export and a key enabler for the knowledge economy.
Natural gas can be a significant contributor to the next phase of offshore development; we intend to have a full understanding of the possibilities."

So time to try and make headway with the EL-1070 offshore licence then as well as the onshore PL2002-01a licence Nuog!

None of the posters on here have claimed to be "in the know" all they have confirmed is that they had spoken to Simon and that the conversation they had with him was a positive one.
There have been some very good factual well reasoned posts today on this bb and I'm pleased to say there will be "no leaks" or "hints" by the bod of what news is about to be released or potential project's about to come to fruition. Thankfully I think the bod have learned their lesson here not to make lots of positive statements on deals that in the end have not materialised so there will be no talk on specifics of a particular deal until news of a deal is in the public domain. Any announcement on that front will be without warning and could catch quite a few out.

Good post Sharelock the potential for GTW especially in the SNS gas fields is huge. This extra dimension for Nuog and Mfdevco which will be a highly profitable solution to fill a gap in delivering energy security along with GS being on board is why I am here and confident of the future prospects.
The focus with the recent RNS's on this area is plain to see and there is now a very realistic prospect of binding deals crossing the line at any time now.

MFDevCo has been advancing multiple projects for some time

MFDevCo is now pursuing multiple projects which fit the GTW model. In particular, two distinct GTW opportunities are being prioritised.

In addition, MFDevCo has been advancing other marginal field projects in both oil and gas fields, which could be developed using more conventional recovery methods.

You won't get an answer on the exact number but the clue is in the word multiple. If 2 GTW project's have been prioritised as being at a very advanced stage then the assumption is a figure of at least 10 given that they are also advancing other project's using conventional recovery methods. Therefore 10+ would not be unreasonable. Even so the number is irrelevant. If just 1 or 2 materialise into binding deals that deliver value for the company and shareholders then great.

With a bit of luck the ongoing advanced discussions have proved fruitful this time in the form of a deal to be announced fairly soon? There certainly seems to be huge appetite for doing business on GTW project's so imo there is a high likelihood of a binding deal being signed involving Nuog and Mfdevco here. Only question is when but my money is by the end of May.

Operational Review

MFDevCo

MFDevCo has been advancing multiple projects for some time, the negotiations for which are at different stages of development and maturity. Projects include both oil and gas fields, which could be developed using conventional recovery methods or utilise the gas to wire technology that has recently been announced to the market.

It would be inappropriate for the Company to identify individual targets until agreements with interest holders have been reached. However, the Company can confirm that target projects are located in the North Sea, East Irish and Celtic Seas, Latin America including Brazil and Asia. There are three project types: large, standalone fields; smaller, repeatable projects; and hub developments which can be expanded over time.

In particular, MFDevCo is concentrating efforts to agree Heads of Terms for two identified priority GTW opportunities, with respect to which discussions with operators are moving quickly. While I am not in a position to predict when those negotiations will conclude successfully or not MFDevCo is aggressively pursuing both oil and GTW opportunities and the Company will update the market accordingly.

Perfectly feasible we may get an update at any time here. Taken from 29th March RNS.
Plus I believe the timing of last week's Podcast to be timely. They waited till the OO deadline had passed before doing the podcast so they certainly can't be accused of ramping to try and get the offer away.
