Colleagues you may recall I posted a message recently from Government concerning OLEV.
Perhaps you may be interested in the following short article.
UK- based Durham University will lead a new national research project to decarbonise transportation through the use of hydrogen technologies.
The £1m project, Network-H2, will see Durham University work alongside Government, industry, and other universities, in hope to help achieve net-zero carbon emissions.
Network-H2 will bring together international experts from the energy, road, rail, air, and marine transport sectors to support the decarbonisation of the transport network.
As hydrogen-powered vehicles only emit heat and water, they put forward a clean and renewable alternative to fossil fuels.
The project will also examine the technological, social, political and economic factors which are required to increase the use of hydrogen as a fuel.
According to Durham University, “Developing sustainable alternatives to the fuels we currently use of the UK’s transport system is crucial if we are going to achieve net-zero carbon emissions in the next 20-30 years.”
Network-H2 is funded by the UK’s Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
Yours, Max.
