The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Trade Wars. The falling out between USA and China is/was predicted when trump won the election two years ago. He has the most bleak outlook on life of any modern day leader. his methodology of appointing and changing his officials seems to be decided dependung upon what side of the bed he wakes up on, his use of twitter should have seen that line of communication cast off by the billions of people enamoured of it. Kim from North Korea and Xi Ping from China keep their temper when having so-called Summit meetings is incredible.
Brexit, i would point out, is and was a simple man - made problem which will never go away. Thank goodness it was entirely made by the Conservative Party, the very same party which chose the second worst Eton zcholar of all time, David Cameron being the first. Hold your heads high you supporters of such a party, a woman nearly sank you over a three year spell. She didn't often dance at your party meeting, and it gained her nothing, but showed that the country couuld perish for all she cared as she kept the PM seat warm for your parties next incumbent. I will hope my reply to you, Mr GB is not seen as vitriolic, but there no one will read or bother to set me right. ----- Yours, Max.
Having read and tried to understand your comments, I feel that a lot of information may have been left out of the latest report. The acquisition of Sapienza is perhaps the only company purchased by us in the EURO ZONE in recent times. It doesnt' seem to be a gold mine as such (many Gold miners are registered at the London Stock Exchange) but is in keeping, I think; with ideas expressed by both of you in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and developments thereof. I believe many of our colleagues welcomed this move in addition to Polaris, Westek and the earlier smaller companies who joined the group. Mr TT, you mentioned two streams, I believe, there is the strong Naval and Army stream, the engineering facilities in Dukinfield and Westek, and now a siazable stream in software and AI. ----- Yours, Max.
Could you say who you mean by "PW" please. Your views line up with later RNS but do you know whether the case in Texas is completed or deferred for some reason. I was astounded that the company were unaware of the proceedings being contemplated in Texas, and one can infer (perhaps shouldn't) thet the information was not put forward at the initial interview for the post. Yours, Max.
The RNS published on the 21st March 2019 announced, among other things, the appointment of Mr Patrick Abbott as the companies vice president in the United States of America, and that he would be based in their new facility in Houston, Texas.
Fourteen days later, on the 4th April 2019, an RNS was published contaIning some information that Mr Abbott is subject to criminal charges laid by the State of Texas.
Has the court case been settled to the satisfaction of Mr Abbott and the company ?
Clarification would be useful to investors, I believe. ----- Yours, Max.
Dear LincsC You may well be invested here for a long time before you see the SP rocket ! This board has long been one of my favourites for gathering news and opinions from NR and fellow PI writers. One becomes used to spectacular moves of the SP, both up and down. Such moves calls for condemnation or congratulations by the ship load. Newcomers may feel over or under whelmed, but thats life on VRS BB. ----- Yours, Max.
Dear S. We buy another firm and the shares go up - the Chairman and his wife sell some some (To satisfy Institutional Demand) and the shares go down. This information would normally have maintained at least the Status Quo in my view but in view of the drastic, or even calamitous events taking place in parliament perhaps that is the Real Deal. ----- Yours, Max.
Brilliant news following our short discussion. Management not afraid to move silently and quickly to acquire good companies with somewhat similar aims and ideals. Welcome to the new members in California !!! ----- Yours, Max.
Have you come across any reports of the recent conference held in Germany ? I was hoping there might have been some follow up since we may be deprived of the membership of such organisations following a possible NO- DEAL Exit. ----- Yours, Max.
When the trials of the new arches are completed, perhaps Aecom, Scaled and VRS could take a small select group of shareholders on a train ride to see the newly configured arches, pleasingly, attributed to the Aecom' workforce. Network Rail would come face to face with a group intent on wringing all the possible information possible from them !! Let us hope they can showcase this work to other nations and become expert salespoeple like what Dave the Brave is !!! Congratulations Dave, pleased to count you among many friends on VRS BB, like LSE99 and Wisheye, Lucky O, BrassN, Robin, Able ----- Thanks to ALL. ----- Yours, Max.
LSE -- Thank you for your good wishes ! I studied your short video and noticed that its external shape appears to be an engineers design, allowing for future additions perhaps, rather than a simple semi-circular shape one expects of an arch. It certainly looks sturdy, let's hope it proves to be so. ----- Yours, Gaily, Max.
Dave, You were a student at Man Uni for sometime, I worked in Man from 1942 to 1946 as an engineering apprentice and attended stocport College so I consider our chats as Macunian Squared ! Mate was the common term used for workmates and is very appropriate. Glad you planted ideas, maybe this latest one should see a larger plant growing rather than the usual Privet Hedges. All the council houses where I lived provided Privets for the modern day transport power house (a horse) whether it was the coalman, milkman or Rag and Bone mans Donkey ! This R and B man blew a crumpled bugle to tell the housewives to send their kids out with a bundle of something in exchange for a cream coloured donkey stone which coloured steps, pavements and your shoes for a day or two. ----- Yours, Max. -- PS I turned 91 last week !
How will this Graphite be processed in Ammonford. You mention inks but I understood Haydales Inks were made from Graphene, have they invented a new process of making the graphene inks which are very good according to reports, direct from Graphite ? I am still not a chemist. ----- Yours, Max.
Mr TT WE invested in Sapienza and then further invested there.
Sapienza is based in the Netherlands NOT France. ----- Yours, Max.
About a year ago we discussed the fireproof properties of Graphene for use in Aircraft and you said you would alert your friends on the Tube ! Anything come of that ? Perhaps they will listen to you a little more but, as usual, cost enters most discussion and by now VRS may be more ready with mass production of the material to suit different requirements. Let us hope more transport people will seek the best materials for when they are in transit. ----- Yours, Max.
Please illustrate for us the problems afflicting pelvic and other surgery problems. Is it suggested that certain materials, such as graphene can be used ---"HOW" ? If so how long may the treatment last ? Layman in these circumstances. ----- Yours, Max.
"Confidentially I'd like to talk, confidentially with a girl like you, confidentially ....." A wartime song again from me !! Would Kate from FT accept an invite to to headquarters, perhaps ? We, private investors, do need sometimes to keep MUM as they also said, about certain matters. We should soon learn something to our advantage since £D Pritning is booming everywhere, particularly in Fiji. ----- Yours, Max.
Mr TEL C Two lots of good advice offered to you here, by Mr TT and Able, let us know, please if you follow either. TPG and Tullow are not likely to be in competition anytime soon, but TPG has got MOD contracts which are likely to continue, has Tullow anything similar in the Oil industry ? TPG is also extending its range of offerings to MOD and others in software including artificial Intelligence, deeper analysis features, and expanding into Europe. Couple all this with very modern machining facilities able to tackle nuclear energy contracts using Titanium and other metals as required and you might wish to invest in TPG. I must admit, at times, people feel frustrated if not informed of targets and even the occasional slip up, but we keep supporting the company feeling that they will benefit from the enhanced type of work they can offer. ----- Yours, Max.
Robin .... I don't mind you using childish terms to explain matters. We dropped your favourite expression until Glenn Miller revived it in 141 with Chat .. anooga Choo Choo. -- GET IT ? ----- Yours, Max.
Dear Colleagues: Not being a subscriber to any outside publisher, I have not read the article mentioned today. May I just mention that on 15th July, VRS received approval from ECHA (See relevant RNS) to produce Graphene sufficient to fulfil outstanding requests and orders from customers seeking the best possible graphene for their purposes. Add this to the verification of the National GRAPHENE COUNCIL IN THE USA and the company can be seen to be outstanding in all requirements. Perhaps, but probably not, FT might run another feature taking these and other elements on board in order to FULLY ACQUAINT readers of the possible outcomes in the use of graphene and direct their readers to the best producers of this material. ----- Yours, Max.
Seems the correspondence this morning has been read by somebody on the TRAIN !
Good on ya ! ----- Yours, Max.
