Anyone had any news recently regarding sales to Middle East Region by Westek or other members of TPG ? I sincerely thought their initial sales and deliveries would be complete by now, late June. ----- Yours, Max.
Thank you for responding to colleagues request for information regarding "Investors Lunch" I presume this event was by special invitation to "Royalty" like yourself ? If the information can be said to be of some importance, i.e regarding some employment conditions, then if the CEO regards all private investors as of equal importance to the company then all PIs should be informed by the normal RNS or RNSR sytems since it may require consideration by some and there shouild not be a "Band of Hope" put in a priveiliged position and others left to pick up the crumbs from the table. You feel patience will be rewarded, let us hope you are right, but dumb impatience can be frustrating. ----- Yours, Max.
Only one of six Conservative MPs will make it to Number 10. Watch out for Rory Stewart coming up on the rails at Royal Ascot ! Ohh, Sorry. Wrong Race Course ! ----- Yours, Max.
Anyone got information about this conference, please. I did see a note and I think it was on Morningstar but now cannot find it, frustrating !! ----- Yours, Max.
Should Mr Johnson and Mr Gove have handed themselves into the police after trying illicit drugs ? ----- Max.
Following Michael Gove’s admission that he used cocaine “on several occasions” when he was working as a journalist, other Conservative leadership hopefuls have come clean about their experiences with illicit substances. From cannabis yogurt drinks to opium at weddings, here are their confessions.
Boris Johnson
Appearing on Have I Got News For You in 2005, Johnson said: “I think I was once given cocaine, but I sneezed and so it did not go up my nose. In fact, I may have been doing icing sugar.”
However, in a GQ interview in 2007, the Tory leadership frontrunner admitted to trying cocaine and cannabis at university, saying it “achieved no pharmacological, psychotropic or any other effect on me whatsoever”.
Thank you for your comments. I did wonder why the Royal Navy maintains a small fleet in the Atlantic in order to arrest ships thought to be bringing drugs to the UK. Perhaps the so-called Drug Barons of South America feel we need the experience of their products. Equally, I hear most or many higher education students would value the drug facilities available in certain institutions such HM Prisons. When we hear that members of the Conservative Party have tried taking drugs in some form, why did we not hear of the Lib-Dems contestants trialling or not. Media Indifference, I presume. When the 160,000 members of the Conservative Party make their choice for leader will they be swayed by whether the two people concerned, the two most popular among the Tory MPs, may well in fact have been previously unarrested drug users ?
Dear Colleagues, your contributions to the board are very clear and I wondered whether I jmay ask if recent news from the gulf areas (attacks upon oil tankers) might spur more sales from Westek to countries in the region. I suppose, without any real knowledge, the items previously sold have their own software installed and perhaps other parts of TP may help to provide the latest versions to enhance the outcomes of the units. ----- Yours, Max.
That is startling and very welcome news provided by Tinopener about Malaria. You may not have heard of this development unless you were a reader of this board. That is one of the satisfying parts of reading and contributing to the kowledge available to us all. I have found members explain how to find and read Patent Applications, some of them exhaustive reading. If you lhave ost your enthusiasm for this share there are other Graphene companies you might find but many not yet passed the standards required by some customers. ----- Yours, Max.
Now that the new top management positions are filled with new members who could inspire much confidence in existing and potential customers, Airbus - Boeing - Uk MoD and others, we should see an advance in the SP to mirror the efforts of Mr Pike and Co. Clearing the debts, including long overhanging Tax liabilities is like having a clean sheet at Sheffield Wednesday, unexpected but welcome ! ---- Yours, Max.
Mr Woodford had an outstanding reputation as a Fund manager working in the City of London. He really wanted, like others, to set up his own company and in a different place. He received praise for choosing Oxford for his base, and many brokers and financial authors very much wanted him to succeed as a new independent fund manager with his own new ideas. If he did manage to flourish many wanted the kudos of having supported him from the beginning. Emma Wall, whilst working as a senior editor of Morningstar published an interview she had with him about a year ago. I read that and assumed that some of the problems facing the funds were being tackled. Still it was noticeable that the price of the fund seemed to rally, then fall just a wee bit more.
In April this year Emma was appointed to the role of Head of Investment Analysis at Hargreaves Lansdown. I feel that HL will recover but be "once bitten, twice shy". Mr Woodford also will recover and may, with his colleagues, be all the stronger. I do have a small holding in that fund from the beginning, and still use HL for share dealings. ----- Yours, Max.
When the next unelected person is placed in Number 10 by the diminished Conservative Party will we see ALL druggies given an amnesty ? 11 candidates, 6 of whom have apparently experimented or gone further in trialling certain drugs, leaves just 5 to choose from. I wonder how the winner will accomplish passing the right type of legislation to relieve some of their colleagues?
What has this to do with NG? Well, read some of the vile comments found on this board daily. Some people obviously do not like Mr Corbyn, so they denigrate him. Will their understanding in fairness allow them to behave in the same way as members of the Consevative Party when making their choice from the surviving two? ----- Yours, Max.
I really did expect poeple to pick up the arguments I put forward during May, regarding the new Company Secretary and the new Company Chairman. It seems to me that their efforts have made the Board come to a decision to not only fully pay Boieing, but also to settle the outstanding Tax Situation which cost £14M in interest. Thank goodness for that, let us hope the pssible further Tax Bill may be zero. ----- Yours, Max.
Sapienza, Polaris, two small companies in Somerset, and Westek. Along with some staff at TPG having knowledge and experience of software and Applications therefrom What a line-up !Westek and Sap. should be appearing in the Revenue suppliers any time soon ! They could with a stretch from the main group provide the token divi you think would be so beneficial Look forward to seeing the BoD reaction in perhaps three months time. ----- Yours, Max.
Mixing of pedestrians and vehicles causing a lot of peoblems there and pointing up the need for vehicles to be made sentisized in moving through city streets. If the authorities there do well then other cities will wish to copy. ABDP are working closely with Dr Lin and his staff to provide vehicle testing systems to bring about this desired outcome. I wonder what are the most favoured vehicles in such a large busy city ? ----- Yours, Max.
Mr TT - Sorry if I upset you, I was merely attempting to bring it to your attention since I have always valued your opinions. I will try to avoid that in furure. The nub of the post was not to lambast a particular company, investors should be pleased to be warned of some possibly unforseen expenditure which I happened to read and thought might be important to some people.
Dactions, - it is posted as RNS Reach which I believe is thought to be for info only. Why, I don't know. ----- Yours, Max.
Glad to read your comments. My wife held these for yonks, and I think it is already diversified, even though it may be heavy in USA it tries to get a good income as well as grow, anywhere in the world. This aim may well help achieve growth in countries which do not get much investment in-bound. In theory, that kind of investment, done judicially, could help certain industries to grow to help their citizens. Fairtrade seemed to be one aspct of helping countries flourish. Water Aid is always telling us of poor conditions in some areas, perhaps this fund AND others could lead the way to establishing good conservation of water supplies and modern reservoir systems. I feel sure that there are water engineers in the world who could tackle these problems, helping countries and showing how agricultural facilities will alleviate the shortages presently existing. ----- Yours, Max.
Given that you have long arms - and reach - have a look at my latest post on TP today. Any comments on it ? ----- Yours, Max.
Has anyone else seen a notice such as this one obtained from another companies report ?
"In April 2019, the EC's final decision on the UK Government's Controlled Foreign Company regime was that it partially represents State Aid."
The company report goes on to say the UK govenment has yet to determine how it will retrieve state aid and therefore the company may face a bill for tax in this matter. ----- Yours, Max.
Thank you for your response and the note for investors. Jeremy gives a very illuminating account which is very satisfying. Seems great progress is being made in Shanghai and will continue according to Dr Lin.
------ Yours, Max.
I notice the shares have gone XD ----- Yours, Max.
