Rugged systems order worth c.£0.75m from UAE
TP Group (AIM:TPG), the specialist services and engineering group, is pleased to announce an order from a customer in the United Arab Emirates worth c.£0.75m. This is the first order of note received by Westek Technology Ltd ("Westek") since its acquisition by the Group which was announced on 5 November 2018.
Under this order, more than 50 rugged servers and data storage systems will be built at the Westek facility in Wiltshire for delivery in 2019.
Since this order is probably completed by now, when may we expect to receive more of the same ? ----- Yours, Max.
Mr Burton S, Tino and Colleagues: If we view the situation as possibly suggested about using ceertified materials for the Spearhead Project, then Airbus would have little choice but to choose the right material for the project. If one reflects upon the situation which has arisen about Boeings 737 Max aeroplane which is costing them millions of dollars and may cost more if civil cases are taken against them. Boeing did publish (after the Malaysian plane crash) a statement that several "Options" had been available to be fitted at extra cost to the standard price, and Malaysian Airlines had declined these extras. Following this situation which resulted in many cancellation of orders for these planes, AIRBUS most certainly would be scandelised if they followed suit and left out vital components for the sake of making savings. Since the project has a stated budget of EU1Billion there is no need to be parsimonious but to spend wisely is what I feel the public needs to regain confidence in the aircrsft industry. ----- Yours, Max.
Dear Able: Thank you for your kind words, You Flatter me, but that is more acceptable than being Flattened !!
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you, your daughter , the rest of your family and all our friends on this board, a Happy Christmas and New Year. I am not able to attend my Roman Catholic Church due to infirmity but shall be there in sprit. I know my user name may not seem to be Christian, it was the name of a shop that specialised in furs, coats, gloves, you name it. Two doors further up the main road from school to home was a second hand car showroom, can you guess where the schoolgirls and the boys seperately used to gather and dream ?? ----- Yours, Max.
Dear Able: I have copied a little part of your Monday 11.28 post and would suggest an amendment to it, below.
"I am referring to the major companies that are interested in the product but also that it is suitable for their requirements and, that the savings achieved will justify the cost of changes to production, if any."
My amendment -- replace "Savings" by Improvements" You and I both know that manufacturing companies which do not consider how their processes may be improved will soon find themselves being left behind by others who are modernising. I admit savings, as such, are worthwhile but keeping up to date is so important. You may recall the time when new methods of electric welding were being introduced and the deep studying required in determining Whether to change over AND to which supplier of the new equipment one would turn. ----- Yours, Max.
Dear Able: "Proof of Concept" I thought the company, the first in the world to achieve the Qualification and Verification Requirements set by the National Graphene Council, a USA authority, which is a rigorous process and test not only of the product but of the production facilities of the company taking this route to show to potential customers and users what is now available world wide had done more than achieve proof of concept. If you might have missed some of the details let me mention that the National Graphene Council enrolled the National Physical Laboratory, said to be the best in the world by the NGC, to carry out part of the verification scheme. Any manufacturer wishing to use graphene in their products have only to knock on the companies door. No doubt those who do use Versarien's graphene will advertise this fact in promoting their own sales as a good factor to their customers. Of all the extraordinary qualities attributed to graphene, perhaps there is one not yet available, and that is Longevity. This may be holding back on some potential customers seeming to dawdle when it comes to signing contracts. However, I feel it won't be long before ordinary customers are asking "Do you include graphene in your products, like aircraft fire restrictive elements, or sports wear or railway arches or new concrete buildings and many other applications being explored. ----- Yours, Max.
Dearest Wish Eyed: I do beg differ regarding the Election results. It seems to me that enough members of the population were sick and tired of nearly 4 Years of Twaddle by the Tory government which under David Cameron invented and nearly organised the losest possible UN-REFERENDUM in history. Without much explanation as to the possible outcomes for remaining or leaving Europe ( which this country at great sacrifice, personal and financial, had twice taken part in restoring peace on the Continent) decided under Mrs May and later Mr Johnson to "Negotiate" ourselves into a corner which is going to be so damaging across the UK. Do you trust Mr. Trump to settle a deal for us when he is facing impeachment and if surviving that another election fight next year ? If you have tried to follow the USA - China Trade War you won't expect much there. Finally, did you notice showman Mr Johnson very publicly, on television, tooks his dogs to vote ? ----- Yours, Max.
Below is an extract from the report provided by the BBC
"Dr Yvette Oade, chief medical officer at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, said: "Our hospitals are extremely busy at the moment and we are very sorry that Jack's family had a long wait in our emergency department.
"We are extremely sorry that there were only chairs available in the treatment room, and no bed. This falls below our usual high standards, and for this we would like to sincerely apologise to Jack and his family."
ITV reporter Joe Pike tweeted about his interview with Mr Johnson, which took place in Grimsby on the campaign trail.
He asked the PM to look at the photo of Jack on his phone several times.
Mr Johnson said he had not seen the picture yet but refused to look at it while Mr Pike questioned him.
Eventually, he took Mr Pike's phone and put it in his pocket, saying: "If you don't mind, I'll give you an interview now".
----- Yours, Max.
Speaking from ignorance, may I ask. following Trumps comment on oil price being too high, is the USA a net exporter of oil ? If so his comments would not have been welcomed there. ?? Trump seems to be a sort of Billy the Kid, shooting from the hip at anything he feels like eliminating. Watch out Her Majesty the Queen and family, apperently he has said he doesn't know Prince Andrew, and watch out Boris, he can turn on "Friends" like an old time gunfighter. ----- Yours, Max.
PSX: - May I add my thanks to others for your report from Cardiff, Monday 2nd December 2019. Could you please tell us who Lucien Meirs is and also who are the TW brigade ?? You and colleagues certainly had an enjoyable evening at the Hostelry chosen for your meeting. Is it a powerhouse in the beautiful Capital City of Wales, with its very friendly poeple. Good of you prepare and distribute your dissemination to us all. I imagine the black eye will last about four weeks having managed to acquire one in Eastbourne several years ago (falling up two steps, if you must know) ----- Yours, Max.
To Lovely Boy and all the traders on here: Time was when Mr TT used to complain of waiting for the coach drawn by six horses to get up the hill to the castle yard and they were all puffed out. But he has persevered , thank goodness, and often gives us plemty of posts to read between stops, and wisdom to assimilate. My Aunty Molly used to run a pub in Stockport, near the castle yard, which still had the heavy stone steps for the passengers to alight or board the coach It was called the Pack Horse and nine of us sheltered in her pubs cellar during the Manchester Blitz. Happy days for us kids but not the grown ups Rant over. ----- Yours, Max.
Weave : Would you care to expand on your post of today and maybe choose a stream or segment you feel may grow ? Robin I thought Tong Chu (??) were involved with GEIC at Manc Uni and they seem to want to move forward. Any favourite segment from VRS you feel likely to score fairly soon ? Thanks to you both. ----- Yours, Max.
Dear Lucky O. -- Can you please solidify your "Air of Expectation" so that numbskills like myself may share with you some knowledge to our mutual advantage in our fun search for the promising work that the company may pursue and bring to fruition in the not too distant future. ----- Yours, Max.
The Final Reprt is the most comprehensive company report I have ever tried to read. It doesn't dwell on the good points or the bad points. I much prefer to read the text than the figures, not being an accountant. I believe Dr Routh has marshalled his forces spendidly to report on the various elements of the companies work over the year and to look into events foreshadowed. Looming, of course, is the renewable energy that poeple are demanding worldwide, including not just electric vehicles but hydrogen driven vehicles. The company are already working on vehicles which don't kill poeple so often, perhaps including methods of restraing drivers from speeding. I wish them good luck with their research which is set to keep them at the forefront of their sector of the automotive industry, including the introduction of new materials. We know the Chairman, Mr Best is interested in the work of Manchester University, perhaps the company should provide a Chair in the Physics Department there. ----- Yours, Max.
Able, Mr T T, Adastra, and colleagues. Able - Dream on young man, your thoughts and colleagues are always valuable and welcomed. Perhaps in answer to your suggestion, the company could ask Investors to forward a written question to them (One Only) and if there were say two topics that stood out provide an answer, if it doesn't break confidentiality. OR they could have their AGM in Birmingham to suit poeple "UP-NORTH". ----- Yours, Max.
Robin, LSE 99, Able and Colleagues. : MrBurton S and I have chosen two areas of work which may score shortly, Why not nominate an area you feel should show signs of development ? No commitments asked, just perhaps the areas you see going onwards and ----- Yours, Max.
Skier 1: When the bookies set their odds for an event, are they not responding to the amount of money placed on certain participants ? If that is the case then several million pounds on the Tories would far outweigh several thousand pounds on Labour or Lib Dem SNP or any other runner. If they didn't do this they could find themselves paying fortunes to the eventual winners. If you think I am right then the odds are fixed by the customers and not the bookies. ----- Yours, Max.
Shebur: Some posters on here are beyond redemption. However, calling poeple names like communist may not be as upsetting as being called a Fascist or even a Nazi. General Franco was perhaps a typical Fascist who delighted in punishing his fellow citizens, read Wikipedia for the years 1936 onwards. He did some very wicked things. He wanted to join Hitler and Mussolini in the Axis Powers, but Hitler said he demanded too much. (Did he want Gibraltar to be turned over to him? But to try to understand the Nazis is a lifes work and requires years of reading about them and, dare I say it ? Having lived under the threats of those regimes. Therefore, I believe poeple wishing to denigrate others as part of their rights to free speech, should be aware that those regimes denied not only the right to free speech but also the right to life. ----- Yours, Max.
Dear Mr Burton: Politics dumped for now. I am hoping for a successful trial of the Rail Arches Project at Bristol. A VERY successful outcome indeed. If the projected objectives are achieved including financial and engineering aims the "World Is Our Oyster" What rail system could afford Not to be interested in the developments envisaged ?? ----- Yours, Max.
Rosy R. The Seven Days you set out before the results on 27th Nov are almost up today the 26th. Hold tight for tomorrow and even if the results do not show any escalation in earnings etc we might see some consolidation from recent additions. More buys reported than seels so far this AM, so heres hoping ! ----- Yours, Max.
Nice to hear from you, Robin. As you work with elderly poeple I can understand how you feel about protecting them from unnecessary wories, but the behaviour of the PM in seeming to brush off wories about Russia, your poeple may have rememberd about the problems in Salisbury, in which an innocent lady died and others became ill. As reported, the behavior of the Russians was utterly irresponsible, illegal, and interfering with the civil life in this country. To have left a small bottle with the remnants of the RYCIN they sprayed on a door in the city was malicious and could have had much more consequences if found by a young person. ----- Yours, Max.
