Robin, two points if I may. -- (1) If a company has found a way, or process to manufacture a material or commodity and have patented that process then other companies would need to find a different way, I understand. -- (2) Do you mean Ammanford in South Wales ? Home of Haydale ? This company has connections with Manchester University and, I believe with Swansea University and has processes available to incorporate graphene into materials such as inks and woven type materials and polymers, but do not themselves produce the graphene they use, we have been informed on this board.
If that information is wrong please correct it. It would be useful to discover if you get to know any other company in the UK does actually produce graphene. Good luck with your quest ! ----- Yours, Max.

Knott - Not Cashed out here, having plenty of dicussion, AND corrections to my posts (See JKOK earlietr today, for which I thank him/her ? ) In fact he/she gave us some news about the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) getting together with Manchester University to look at Standards for Graphene. Would be interesting to find out what they suggest, in due course. This is not the only company that seems to expect its shareholders to wait almost indefinitely for news of progress, but in this case, the seeming delays may be down to having to allocate funds to a project where some potential customers cannot take those risks. ----- Yours, Max.

Certification and Verification of Graphene.

There is no doubt that VRS passed the tests mentioned above. They were invited by the Graphene Council of the USA (NGA) to be the first company to take this newly devised testing system and they were successful. This sucess was heralded by the NGA. No other companies have been so heralded by NGA to my knowledge. I certainly don't expect to hear about any companies who have failed the tests.
I cannot for the life of me understand how Brassneck can say that other companies have failed and in the next breath say it is confidential.
The companies who might be thought of as USERS will decide if the tests set by NGA are the mows worthwhile available and are most lilely to base their purchases on their indivudual business decision.
Any other company trying and failing the NGA tests will eventualy go to the wall. ----- Yours, Max.

Hello Mr TT. I realised that I had not given much info so posted an extract from the 23rd June 2017 RNS stating that it is a UN Initiative. So sorry about this, but YES it has to be good and should be followed up by more Initiatives by the UN.

Colleagues, I should have been more specific about FAO and the Contract. Below might appear an extract which explan more.
"SRT receives an AIS fishing boat monitoring contract for Somalia from FAO

SRT Marine Systems plc ('SRT') is pleased to advise that it has received a contract from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) to supply a package of specialist AIS Class B transceivers and communication devices, satellite AIS data and a vessel tracking display system. The equipment supply element will be completed this financial year with the supply of S-MDA satellite AIS data ongoing. The project is supported by the Counter Piracy Trust Fund to Support Initiatives of States Countering Piracy off the coast of Somalia.

The system will be used primarily to enhance safety at-sea and fight piracy activities whilst also to track and monitor small local fishing boats in Somalia and assist with safety and prevention of illegal, unregulated and unlicensed (IUU) fishing.

The contract for FAO regarding Somalia will reach its third birthday in June this year. Since the amount of "News" on this contract and its objectives seems fairly thin, is it thought to have helped the country tp progress its shipping activities ? Does the FAO seek further contracts of this nature which seem toassist in the countries well-being. May I pose a general question to our colleagues on here. Motorists usually are very concerned regarding their car tyres, take the old adage of "kicking the tyres" when checking a second hand car for sale at a local car dealers. When I have read posts about tyres I sometimes wonder about the tyres that Lewis drives on. Soft or softest or whatever which don't seem to manage many laps at their speeds. Then you think of the seemingly rock hard tyres on HGVs and buses, and the tyres used on bikes, even trykes Such a variety, OH and aircraft tyres too. How might graphene prove to be so useful here ? Wrap the tyre in it as though it is a sheet of brown paper ? ----- Yours, Max.

Hello Luck O and Mr JD: I have read posts on here for sometime now, and have never seen a T W post, indeed i did ask once who was he. The RNS seems a fair rport about it's subject, the activities in the USA.
