Who cares,iam a long term holder that will reap the dividends and rid itself of an old lazy stuck in the dark age workforce,who are paid handsomely for basically popping a letter through a door,never happy,always moaning,as I have said in older posts,happy for things to work out if the workforce agrees change,more than happy to ditch them.
A lot of the old staff carnt change,never mind won’t,there that stuck in there ways,they need to ship out,problem is they’re to scared to find another job,again stuck in there ways…got to cling onto Royal Mail as they carnt do anything else…to scared to get a different job as they’ve been institutionalised…moan moan moan,but won’t move on…preying the company gets rid of the anchor :-)

Thank god for that…now praying the company follow through with the split :-)

Hopefully I won’t have to if the posties see the light,will be more than pleased if they get in line and help the business move on quicker,then everyone wins…Sadly,I don’t think that’s going to happen…ahh well….win win…
Although things can change quickly,all the who ha about the share price tanking after results/strike ballot/payment of divi/and its strengthening points to the market agreeing.

Strike= gls sell off…share holder wins
Cave like a pack of cards =flexibility…shareholder wins.

If he deserves it he gets it,regardless of timing,if change was accepted quicker by posties and you could see the extra benefits in those changes then you would reap the rewards quicker.
Stay where you are when everything around you is moving and you will be left behind.
Personally I think it’s to late…things will move along quite quick without you,and there will be an outcome that could of been averted.
Hope iam wrong,but either way the share holder will benefit.

It will be very interesting to see the share price if Royal Mail do follow through with the strike….if they don’t bottle it(hopefully they won’t)and the share price goes up due to market now expecting a split,if it goes down then the market won’t expect a split.
Iam just praying the lemmings all follow there unions advice and the company then follows through with there threat.I carnt see the union backing down as they would look very weak…to many egos damaged from the top down to the reps…
If they do back down and wait to fight another day,swallow there pride and get on board…the price may still go up…win win…..

From experience when the going gets tough,people fall away,I hope a resolution can be found,personally I hope you do strike…then gls will be split….then it will be to late.

Scrap…Completely agree…I’ve been saying this for so long…hopefully the posties will see sense…if not…then so be it…within two years a lot will be even more missable,or not working there,sometimes it’s good to see the light…work with management,then reap the rewards further down the line…there now in a no win situation,those that think there someone will have to take it on the chin…if they don’t it could be a blood bath….I really do hope they see sense and live to fight another day.

If you look back at my posts I’ve said a few times I hope there’s a solution,I was a union rep until recently,the reason iam not any more is…I worked for a company that was not to fair with its workers,I took zero members to full recognition against all the odds in what still is the fastest time in the uk…6 months…that was with a full on employer fight,not a friendly agreement.
One thing that struck me down the line was the union leading there employees down the wrong route for personal gain…not seeing the wood for the trees…not looking long term…
This is happening right now at Royal Mail…backing down,regrouping and working with the employer works wonders…unfortunately there shooting themselves in the foot.
I hope this changes,I hope an agreement is reached…as I have said before..time will tell…but if no agreement is reached quickly I have no sympathy what so ever for those who have pushed when they have pulled back a little.
To here union reps saying we will bring the company down or to its knees are not good reps…but in fact glory hunters who want more plaudits…let’s hope the workforce see through them…but I don’t think they will…lemmings springs to mind.

Telling little bit,let’s hope some people take notice instead of burying there heads…work together then better pay rises down the line…instead of redundancy.

You could also argue that Royal Mail is now being a mill stone around gls ….another analyst suggests that at privatisation it was the junior partner….it’s now making £350 million and growing…and propping up Royal Mail…looks like it’s doing very well in a big pond..and probably will do better once the crap bit of the business is let free.

I do hope the workforce sees sense,I hope they reap the benefits in years to come,I hope they prosper and look back and say glad we moved on.
But I think the sitting ducks will be like lemmings and follow bad advice given by union leaders who carnt be seen to fail…do I think the government will take them back…not a cat in hells chance…do I think there in for misery on the route there taking,probably…
The quicker the union walk into there own deeply dug hole the quicker the company split can happen…hurry up and get on with it

Great news…personally think it’s great news for the company going forward,I also hope they do follow through and split…one thing no body has said….once the split has taken place,there’s then nothing to stop the new Royal Mail(posties only)once the good ones have been taken by the parcel company…to just give you notice of new terms and conditions…seen it a few times…carnt wait for this to reach a conclusion in due course…nothing will be off the table…and you will loose.

If it’s an entirely different format,and no money,they can fine till the cows come home….it won’t make a jot of difference…you will be stand alone company…redundancies,redundancies,redundancies….let it go to the wall…nationalised,maybe…no one will care as you have dug your own grave…the money,the light at the end of the tunnel,the good pay,the better conditions,better pay rises will be with the parcel company…your all sitting ducks if you don’t see since…lol

Laugh my arse off,you still don’t get it…no parcels,just mail left…so a lot less work,so redundancy ..

1….get on board with change

2….don’t get on board…gls split off.

3….re apply to gls who take the creame.

4….gls workers now get all the parcels,make more money,get better pay,better pay rises and thrive.

5….Royal Mail posties now only deliver letter which is declining,so not as many workers needed…so you all apply for your jobs (if you want to)

6….Royal Mail miss all targets,get fined but who cares,it’s now seperate,the business is loosing money,carnt pay the fine…all the problems caused by the work force and government….something has to give…it goes tits or workers get on board(missed the boat already and missed the better opportunity)government relaxes the rules otherwise there in a pickle.

All in all the company gets what they want….they will get around any problems put in there way.
