Gas price off the highs as Putin says "Russia ready to stabilize the gas market"

In the recent analyst presentation, Mitch or our CFO stated that we would now be paying tax come the next financial year, so we need to factor that and any windfall tax on future earnings

personally i think the stagnant share price in the last week may be due to the USA debt ceiling and funding requirements over there, the usual shenanigans creating a risk off environment

not good for us consumers and as you said yesterday NewKTOB, most of the general public unaware until they see their gas bills!!
Anyway, why the discord between gas prices and share price performance, doesn't compute with me

This is insane. Anyone have any ideas why the shares of listed gas companies are not reflecting the gains in the raw commodity price. Very subdued share price reaction?

Spot price for UK gas $300, say it’s around there for 1 month - 20,000 conservative production, that works out to be $180m for 1 month

The breather the share price is currently taking is either the market thinking the current gas prices won’t hold or has the high gas price just made the commodity too risky

only a proportion of production is usually hedged, most companies will have a fair portion unhedged and at spot prices

Gas now above 300p/ therm and oil above $82, how are we not higher!! Never mind a bigger boat, SQZ will need a bigger bank vault

Its already levelled off, 240p the new 140p and I’m sure loads of people have banked profits. However more to come as someone is hoovering up the shares

Not long to go to the November update, revenues should be substantially higher since the last update.

That’s what I also took away from the presentation, seemed to emphasise the merger bit of M&A more, I could be wrong though? Surprised nothing has been leaked into the market if they were looking at any merger.
Surely there could of been some questions though!! Who’s taken the GRG shares - where’s the holdings RNS?
In the absence of these really high gas prices, being over reliant on EIGG is pretty risky, natural depletion as well as future gas price is the biggest risk. If however, EIGG comes in, then it’s transformational again.

we only have 25% hedged, todays spot gas prices are well over £2, they must be racking it in. Shame the capex for 1H 2021 was well over budget and that is probably why there is no interim dividend.
Question is, what price do you start the hedges at and what percentage of overall production

My target price is 10p, then i will review

the reason the share price isn't 5x higher is because DELT aren't drilling until May 2022, the market sees this as a "long time" yet. Just use this as an accumulation period to buy as much as you are comfortable with. As we approach drilling, the share price will undoubtedly explode. Just need a bit of patience in the interim period
