Been trying to fathom why the shares of a number of gas companies have fallen off a cliff last few days as gas prices are still strong. Just so much negative sentiment from COP26 - see below from twitter.
Where would this leave SQZ development for Eigg for instance. I know we aren’t funded by direct public finance but does this mean that UK government wouldn’t sanction any future North Sea projects? All crazy stuff as it will just send oil and gas prices through the roof as there just isn’t the right amount of investment for current demand

they are trying to drive the share price lower, starts high at open and then they drop it like a stone, are they fishing for shares

What a cluster fxxk at JKX, so if I read it right, the company is proposing to delist and go private, buy back shares at minuscule premium to today’s share price, just as gas prices are taking off again. The last few months revenues would have been through the roof and they saying this allows them to save $600k per year, and by going private they can do better deals and raise more finance, you can’t make it up

nothing to do with Colombus imho Sasa, last few days there has been some negative sentiment in oil and gas due to the issues below, normal upward trend to commence soon:
1. Budget - some expected a windfall tax - non resulted
2. Oil inventories higher than expected in US - its all made up anyway
3. Gas prices have eased - Nordstream2 coming soon
4. Traders possibly derisking ahead of COP26

Gas prices have taken a dip because Putin stated that Gazprom will start supplying Nordstream2 in November. However, a sensible gas price is good for all and there Is plenty of news to keep interest in SQZ

they have always said it was a "progressive" dividend policy, so 4p would be a minimum expectation. However, they have been filling the coffers significantly over the last several months and as others have already stated, i would expect a special dividend at some point. Especially if they dont intend to use the cash for any acquisitions. Maybe its too expensive to acquire anything now.

trouble - AA and KIST stated that a dividend was atleast 3 years off, however that was before gas prices took off, they are generating £1m+ in revenue per day so a dividend may be closer? who knows, like i said, both companies have returned fantastic growth and i am sure there is more to come and i will continue to hold to see how both progress in the next 12 months or so.

Both have been good investments and SQZ will probably return more cash as dividends short term, however, longer term I think KIST will appreciate more in terms of capital growth

Interesting interview from Andrew Austin saying they (KIST) are making £1m free cash flow a day currently. If that’s the case, how much are SQZ making. - plus there is no debt to pay off here or additional capex costs.
They really need to pay a special dividend if there is no acquisition on the horizon

looks like the market is expecting a "duster" here? End of October not to far ahead, if they are targeting multiple levels at Sapote, the share price doesn't reflect any targets being hit

its just people taking profits and gas price has come down so market makers taking the p to bring the share price down, all gas shares are down this morning despite the overall market being up
