I too have semi inferred that as well Allologie, SQZ are making significant money and who would want to give up this gravy train!! It looks like high gas prices are here to stay for the foreseeable. However, it has been commented that clearly a number of the board members are no spring chickens and why wouldn't they sell the company if a good offer comes in. I could be wrong, but i think someone has been keeping the share price in check and buying as much as they can and a "hostile" takeover could take the board by surprise when they are ready to check mate

I would hope that we find ourselves in a similar situation as Cove Energy, i am sure a number of you will remember them back around 2010. If I recall correctly, there ended up being an auction with successive counter bids. If there is a bid for SQZ, hopefully we get the same scenario

"Very significant returns" - not just significant returns but "very" - capital growth or dividends or hopefully both or straight take over as per NewKTOB comments
"help support further investment" - to me this indicates further acquisitions which will result in "very significant returns"

so i tend to go with us being the hunter rather being the hunted in the short medium term - either way will be good for shareholders

- gas wasn’t at over 200p/ therm then,
- EU gas reserves weren’t at record lows,
- Serica wasn’t generating £3m per day,
- Columbus wasn’t on stream
- Rhum3 was a dream
- we didn’t have >£150m in the bank
- we weren’t less than 35 days away from 100% BKR

The speed with which Cairn has undertaken this 3d seismic survey has been at break neck speed. They are in a hurry and i wouldn't be surprised if they complete the processing well before Q2 2022. DELT state that results will be available around Q2 which is also when DELT/ SHELL will also be drilling. What's the odds that DELT could be also be drilling with Cairn in 2022 as well!!

I have contacted Serica and suggest all shareholders do the same. A number of emails will have a greater impact than a few or none.
