Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
IF true (BIG IF) it had better be a damned good offer (many many multiples of the current sp) as should 'we' decide to 'sell the golden goose' (and our board of 'Industry Heavy Hitters' have all moved on to pastures new, as has already been intimated would be the case by Shaun) you can only imagine what that will do to the sp!!!
(AIMO of course)
Thanks Redirons, I'll do my best to 'rein in' the negativity (or at least keep it to myself) as always been a pessimist by nature (unfortunately).
Never had any doubts as to how successful Havieron will be (eventually) just whether we will still be allowed to own it by the time its true value starts to be realised?
Not going anywhere for the foreseeable future (until I'm forced to) and just hope that the SP has recovered to a far better level before that time arrives.
Anyway, I'll shut up now (especially for MH01!)
GLA.
@ Redirons
I always expect the worst (that way I am rarely disappointed!π) but in any case I said that the 'offer' would be cheap, I didn't say it would be successful!?
I want an absolute bare minimum of 50p a share out of this now (having been here nearly 10 years) so as to put me in roughly the same position that I would have been had I sold up in Dec 2019 (which I'm starting to wish I had, for no other reason than my mental health!!)
Personal circumstances are such that I will have to start thinking about selling some in 12 - 18 months time at the latest and having been invested here now for so long I want some of the 'cream' and not lose out 'at the final hurdle' so to speak!
''Sp is very very cheap''.
As will be any takeover offer that might arrive no doubt (hence the suppressed sp!!!) ππ‘
''I can guarantee 99pc of Sar holders overs the last 6 months has lost a lot of money''
Well I certainly have! (Β£56,750.51 since I first invested in July '22! ππ’)
''There has been a lot of speculation over recent times blaming mm's, shorters etc. for holding the price down. Can we add SD to this camp?''
Certainly looks that way!!!?? (But why is the question!?)
FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! π‘π‘
Well personally I certainly haven't been invested here for nearly the last decade for 20 'effin pence!!!!
I'd certainly take Β£1(my original dream target price) but having probably lost nearly Β£90k in interest alone over the last 3 years had I sold at the previous ATH then I would now be looking for a bare minimum of somewhere north of 50p (albeit reluctantly and only after having been emotionally worn down by all of the sp fcukery over the last 3 years!!)
Happy to wait though (within reason, as not getting any younger) just so long as it gets us there!
GLA
20p!?!
If it isn't at the bare minimum equivalent to the previous ATH then they can 'jog on' as far as I'm concerned!!
I'll have been here 10 years next summer so can happily wait until we get there!!
Certainly is Alice (but not as painful as GGP has over the last 3 years!!π’)
GL
In a previous life heading up the Marketing function for a small privately owned pension provider, upon my arrival it was quite clear that their London based PR company (who had been on a not inconsiderable annual retainer) had in fact done absolutely sweet 'uck all for a number of years.
When I called a meeting with them, they sent down the 'big guns' as I think they suspected they were going to get 'binned' (and how right they were!!??!) ππ
@ AliceBeagle
It's only a loss if you sell! π
Stay strong and GL!
Late to the party compared to some (July '21) so currently sitting on a 72.84% loss (Β£55,278.46 of REAL money NOT paper profit!) so have no choice really but to continue to hold! π’
It' ''Sh it or bust'' for me now, with a total T/O preferred north of $1bn (and sooner rather than later please)
C'mon SAR!!!!!
GLA
And lets not forget Chris Fraser who got a 'nice little earner' of a new job title at Anglo American in return!? π€ππ
''there is some speculation here today that NEM are mulling a 12p per share offer for GGP''
Well they can f cuk right off then as I for one certainly haven't been invested here for nearly 10 years for 12 'effin pence!!!!! π‘π€¬π‘
Well someone's just off loaded 7m shares at 11:58?!?
''I just feel that opportunities like this donβt come round too often and am prepared for the loss of it goes bent''
Same here Baliff, although I only hold 29,441 shares but mine are at an average of Β£2.57 (so currently sitting on a 70%, just under Β£54k, loss. Having said that as these were mainly purchased with profits from my holding in GGP, I too am prepared to lose it all if it goes south).
Nothing ventured, nothing gained (and all that)!

Firstly so sorry for your loss.
My mother died of an unexpected brain haemorrhage when she was only 59 (a year older than I am now) so I lost her at the relatively young age of 34.
My dad was devastated, was never the same and remained single until he passed away in January 2021 aged 86.
For the last 6 years of his life he had suffered from dementia and Alzheimer's and I gave up work to become his full time carer throughout this time.
Though it wasn't easy at times (and I couldn't have done it without my wife's help) I will be eternally grateful for the time that I had with him during this period.
There's a lot to be said about the saying 'you don't know what you've got until it's gone' and so I say to you all, please cherish those close to you while you can as 'no man know'eth the hour' .

Make the most of the time you have with them (despite the frustrations elderly parents can cause) because you'll miss them once they are no longer here (believe me I know!! :-( )
544.7% up here at close of play today (still sitting on a six figure profit!) and my feet are planted firmly on planet earth!!!
Getting bored now! (Filtuurd!)
