Price equalises demand and supply at any point in time - it basically what a stock market is for! :-)

I've put a cheeky sell order in with a £5.95 limit for today only to sell 25% of my holding ;-) Let's see if it get's back there today!

Anyone else here thinking about letting a few go here ahead of the results? I have very much enjoyed my 70% gain here, and I have real long term belief in this Company, but I do wonder whether all the short term good news is in the price here, and the statement tomorrow might leave some traders disappointed ? Before I get a stream of 'de-ramping' comments, this is purely from a trading standpoint, and not on the long term view.

Tom might have a point though - the largest Index funds tend to be FTSE All Share or FTSE 350, and IG will remain in both of them regardless. Still think there would be some benefit from FTSE 100 inclusion but it might not be huge. We'll see (hopefully...!)

Stock went up 30% based on the fact that it listed on a new exchange - that was always going to be hard to justify. I see the price now back down to levels which the fundamentals justify. Stock went below £5 today where I said I would buy it back, but am on hols this week so I missed it!! Still, I think we'll see it go below again before it recovers.

...is that consensus thought that the contraction in sales was going to be achieved in H12021, and that AWS was going to start contributing to revenues this year. It surprises me that the market thought this, but I think that's the clear indication from the share price today. It is clear that investors will not give the stock the benefit of the doubt in any way at all, and will not appreciate substantially until the numbers show no more sales contraction. Don't be surprised if we remain range bound until then.

Yep, the numbers are fine because the six months from last year only contained 1 month of full lockdown, versus this period with some form of partial lock down covering the whole period. Still looks like they should be gunning for around £1 eps this year putting the stock on a 5x multiple. We will defo need to see some growth next time though I feel.

GS - Not quite. They have been blocked as an exchange provider, but this does not stop you trading on their website. They have now (temporarily) stopped allowing investors to deposit with then via bank transfer (though you can still do so by debit/credit card), but withdrawals are unaffected.

Hi Opt - Mined and staked crypto are extremely volatile as you say, and that's why I stick to stable coins which are fixed in the value of there currency and hence the only vol I have is USD vs £. USDC is particularly safe as it's backed 1:1 with $ reserves. I'm actually now characterised as a professional investor with IG, but only for the lower margin requirements and greater flexibility.

Ok, good stuff. Interesting point re FTSE 100. Currently, smallest co. in the index is Brit Land at £4.6bn. IG currently 3.7bn, so we need a price of around £10.50 (assuming other prices don't change). So I guess not likely short term, but definitely a possibility medium-term with a fair wind. We haven't had a pre-close trading statement in early June like last year which probably means results are more in line with expectations. Looks like we'll have to wait until full year results are published on 22 July before we get the next leg up (unless we get something positive from CMC and/or Plus500 in the meantime). Either way, PE of 9x, yield of 5%, and underlying growth in the business (particularly post TT acquisition) feels pretty good to me!

Yep, definitely one of the politest and well informed boards on this site, with Davey leading the way in this regard.
However, whilst I am all for PIs setting price targets, I do think deciding exactly which year this is going to happen is a tad spurious....? I mean, if it hits £32 in 2026, does this mean you'll still hang on for another 2 years.....? ;-))
Well done to all here for keeping the faith, but if you think that the volatility in this stock is over, I think you might be disappointed. I suspect the HK listing might have the opposite effect (albeit at a higher price), but we'll see.

- Annuity market looks set fair for at least a decade as large UK DB pension funds buyin and buyout
- Balance sheet looks fine
- Rating is cheap, yield is attractive
- Where there's one interested buyer for their European business, I'm sure they'll be more
- Can't help wondering whether the whole group might be of interest to a buyer who wants to gget exposure to the UK annuity market.
I'll be watching with interest.

Wow - that's astonishing given nothing has changed overnight!! Having been here for 10 years, my holding is getting a bit chunky at these levels - I've let a third of it go here. I would buy it back below £5 though!

Kpatel - don't you get it pea brain - no PIs have a financial interest in this company any more. Zero, Zilch, nada for one and all, so I guess we're actually in the same boat now, right? (obviously I didn't actually lose any money though :-)) Next lesson - It's not that investors won't see a return - it's actually that they lost their principal AND saw no return. Thirdly, if you'd listened to me, you would have saved some money, because guess what - Doesn't matter whether you lost your money because the company went bust, or because the equity went to zero when the bondholders came in - both mean you get zero. And you know what - that's exactly what I said would happen - there were others who said it would actually go bankrupt, but not me. The assets had vale, but the debt was too high, and it's always the equity holders who pay.

So, I told people to get out, and I told them why. You stayed in - who's the moron again?

As it's already known, and hence in the price, it cannot be the factor causing price weakness. Hence I didn't mention it. The name calling/banter was fun for a while, but perhaps time to stop now?
