Yep, and if they can achieve this, I agree the stock price will be a lot higher. Of course you correctly used the word 'could' rather than 'will'.in terms of the revenues. Time will tell, but I certainly agree that below £20, this now represents a very attractive mix of risk and reward - hence I've been buying. At £28, I found this much less compelling, and hence was top-slicing.

Not like the stock price did nothing over that period though Davey - it's up by 50%.

one thing from FT article did make me smile - Hogg's comment "..... get in front of specialist biotech investors who can value the company properly....”...Shame for us that this was 20% below the price quoted on AIM which was driven by us 'non-specialist' UK investors........ ;)

Underwritten yes, but this only means they'll take the shares which investors don't. It doesn't mean they front up the money at the beginning. For the acquisition to go through, I assume they needed the funds reasonably quickly and hence an institutional book building process is required. For private investors to be involved, they'd need to raise funds now for potential, but as yet unknown acquisition targets in the future. Not very efficient I'd say. I'd prefer that they keep picking off opportunistic acquisitions and funding through the current process to be honest.

So, the seller is confirmed as Henderson - they've sold down their position by 125,000 shares, or 2% of the Company. They still have 9.5% left though! Hopefully they'll be holding onto these!

...all it's done is reverse losses since January. I won't be feeling better about this stock till it starts with a 4...... Still, a million shares traded today suggests that the price isn't just a trading anomaly!

....which ironically is what this stock price is finally doing.....;)

More selling today by the looks of it. I just picked up some more shares at 10.60. At below 20x this years earnings, I think the stock represents excellent value at this level.

BTW, a good acquisition, simply continuing their current strategy of buying legacy mainframe software businesses and running them for cash. Fantastic business model!

Understand your frustration, but if you want to place new shares in a matter of hours, then using professional investors is the only solution. If you are going to offer to retail investors, you need to go through all sorts of regulatory hoops, issue prospectuses, communicate to the market, give private investors sufficient time to decide etc etc. Frankly, it's just not practical.

But why bother holding it then Johnny? I honestly believe PM is well meaning and acts in a way he thinks is best, but unfortunately, he has misjudged the situation and made poor calls. It happens.

Results about as expected I'd say, but now you have a Company on less than 10x earnings, even after the fall. If you believe that the shift toward a software business has any merit, then the stock will start to look very cheap. Clearly lots of risk here, but worth holding on in my view.

...should also have mentioned the dividend up 50% which is a genuine statement of intent from the BOD. A similar step for the fully year divvy will have the stock yielding around 4% which is rather unusual for a Company growing at this rate! just reminds us what a high ROCE/free cash flow business this is!

Figures look good, and stock looks like it's now on less than 20x this years earnings. One point for the market to ponder might be the license expiry in autumn 2017, which the commentary implies, might hold back growth in the year 2017/2018. My short term price target is still £15.

...sigh. What a balls-up.

An encouraging post I agree, although in my view, it attributes way too much credit and credibility to PM given the last year. After all, none of us ever doubted his ability to present and persuade - it's the main reason most of us invested. It's his ability to deliver is the issue, and it's difficult to give him any credit at all on that score.

Good speech from Christian. Still couldn't help looking at all the smiling, clapping, back slapping, congratulatory remarks and tickertape and thinking, if this what happens when the stock falls by 20%, imaging what they'd have acted like if it only fallen by 10%.....:)
