I still think copper is a factor in the SP...whether directly or indirectly...

If it continues its breakout it cannot harm the PFS3 and bid prospects, but it would also underpin the current SP to some extent...especially if other Junior Miners and/or copper plays get a move on...

For example, as you know, ATYM is a pure copper play producing 55k tonnes of copper a year, but it is still close to the bottom, despikte the CEO in the results Q&A last week saying "this will be a £6 share..."

I specialise in metals and miners and my portfolio is well down overall, despite averaging...mainly due to gold but SOLG down 30% of course...

It wouldn't surprise me if Scott has a few RNSs lined up ready to drip feed into the market going up to the AGM and keep the Autobots on their toes...

Even if they are like Porvenir and don't update the resource but talk about drilling...

Helipuerto and Rio Amarillo spring to mind as well as a couple of others, but we've had no update on the Cornerstone properties yet, e.g. Bramaderos.

Doesn't hurt to restate what we've got...the biggest exploration footprint in Ecuador...

3 Berry Street dumping shares in an illiquid market

So heres a scenario...

There is at least one prospective bidder

They are using Autobots to keep the SP down until they are ready to bid. The higher the SP the higher the starting price. There is no other sensible explanation for so many Autotrades for such small denominations that are clearly neither to build or sell a position, nor especially making any money.

In an illiquid market it seems very easy for these spoilers to operate.

However I refer back to the 829k buy that led to a 10 % rise in the SP last week

So what do you do if you're Scott and you know there is interest which is not concrete yet and you know there is a story to tell especially when PFS3 is issued in an environmemnt of significantly higher metals prices than PFS2?

1 Buy shares to put a floor under the market... that worked until copper fell to a 12 month low

2 Remind people that the story is not just about Cascabel and not just about copper. Porvenir is probably a Tier 1 in the making on its own

3 Release exciting updates on other projects

4 With the overall purpose of keeping prospective bidders and investors on their toes and keeping the floor at 8p

Given the Autotrades and the lack of buying (probably because people are fully invested and in the main not selling), I don't know what else he could do...

You are absolutely right Eish...and to my mind there is nothing preventing SOLG from doing it...if it is the current SOP...

And that suggests the possibility of an open pit mine for gold...

Remember we have several other gold prospects...Rio Amarillo, Helipuerto, Porvenir, etc.

At least theres more PI interest in buying, although it looks like somebody has taken the opportunity to dump 174k shares...

The earlier comment about the thinness of the market bears out my concerns about liquidity but also means that concerted buying would see this fly...

I'm simply acknowledging the consequences of somebody else's idea...

So much gold at surface only 8km from Alpala can't hurt our takeover prospects...

Maybe Scott is sweetiening the pill for Gold miners like my favourite, Barrick to bid...?

To repeat what DBW said...even if Scott gets voted off the Board he could still stay as CEO...wasted votes...

This won't go up until people start buying...and/or the short closes...

But it WILL go down if the Board/CEO are voted out...just watch...

70% Autotrades today...shocking and pointless...

Out of c£250k of trades they account for less than half the value...and less than some people hold on here...

But the simple fact is that even though theres minimal PI/Institutional selling, theres no buying either...

As I said...one trade of 829k shares by a PI a few days ago, triggered a 10% rise in the shares in minutes...

Just think what a determined institution could do...but there no liquidity...
