This is my point on red tape. The NIHR badge this as urgent public health on the 14th October and the ethics committee still haven't signed it off by the 9th November. I mean WTF we are only in the middle of a pandemic!

RM said in his most recent presentation something along the lines of "it has been like a tugboat trying to move a large tanker at times" when referring to governments and their regulatory agencies. I think much of the delay between July and December has been due to the ineptitude and red tape of the regulatory bodies.

One thing Synaigen does not do is RNS just for the sake of it and I appreciate that. Each of their RNS's over the past year has provided significant information for their shareholders. I expect the next one will be no different.

Chris, Mainly because they don't have any funding for it at this stage and would need some data to justify a fund raise to get it off the ground. All in my opinion of course. I have been back through the placement doc and there is nothing budgeted for a US home trial or other trials as such.

According to the interview it is just discussions at the moment with the FDA. I can't see this starting before the completion of a home trial in the UK.

And this is the issue. Surely AZN must be aware that they need to increase the public's confidence in order for us all tho take this vaccine. Did they really think this would not get into the public domain?

Or maybe the government have said to them get your figures as high as possible as we are rolling this out no matter what!

Yet they still used the data and combined with the large numbers in the other arm of the trial to inflate their efficacy. Stinks IMO

There was much more positive in that interview than negative yet people have picked up on the 30 number. Richard specifically said the home trial news would be next big piece of info to come so hopefully the 30 patients mentioned were those currently being treated. In any case there should be some clarification for shareholders of this by the company.

Prof Holgate is an academic and there was much mention of trial after trial in this interview. All the academics I have ever dealt with all they ever focus on is the next piece of research. Prof Holgate can clearly see the bigger picture for this drug and it really is an exciting prospect for this drugs future, the idea of prophylaxis and prevention of not just covid but many other viral lung infections.

I am wondering if they are currently treating 30 people or if that is total enrolment. Either way more awareness is essential. BBC should be all over this and it would fill in a week!

- Said currently have 30 patients in home trial.

Elsol, can you point me in the direction where you have read all the data about the azn vaccine. There are many questions have been raised about the data particularly mixing of the trial data from Brazil and the UK. Also as far as I have read they have not released any numbers on the efficacy in the elderly. If you have a link to share that would be great.

Graham, Well we have had 8 down days in a row (one flat day in that mix) so are due some upward movement in the share price. Not seen a run like that since late September (176p - 145p) and prior to that was May when the price was taken down from the mid 50's to the high 30's.

If the government spent 2% of that budget on SNG001 it would eat up our proposed yearly production for 2021!

Hopefully we get a big push now to finish this home trial. If the results are replicated in the home trial there would be some serious questions being asked if EUA was not forthcoming.
