RM did that last week. RM explicitly stated that there will be a need for governments to stockpile the drug hence the continuation. The COPD trial was stopped in March do to the pressure on the NHS. That unfortunately is still the case and I am sure they will resume once the pressure is off the NHS.

You are correct investor sentiment has changed but the realities regarding the current pandemic situation have not. In fact as of today worldwide cases and deaths are their highest levels since the pandemic began.

Toonman, These figures are tiny compared with the late trading that was going on after the announcement of the placement in October. £500k trades were regular and there were many.

The really big positions in this company were taken around the placement in October. Between then and now there has been plenty of noise but not seen and really large trades put through after hours.

Trust your investment hypothesis and stay strong. For me there has not been one thing that has come out over the past fortnight that will impact this drug getting to market in 2021.

The 90% is a half dose and then a full dose a month later but only had 2000 subjects. The other had 8000 subjects. Sounds like more work needed but guess what? Oh emergency use is being applied for. Duration of protection is not know.

In fact the board have been extremely savvy since January. This drug would have taken many more years to get to market on it's previous path, but they saw covid as an opportunity, hence trying to get trials established in China and Italy (logistics let them down) but now will have essentially completed phase 2 & 3 trials within a 12 month period (unheard of). Savvy indeed!

And as for commercialisation, Non executive director Ian Buchanan managed the international license business of Cilag AG (15 billions sales and part of J&J since the 50's). I think he may be of some assistance in helping the board get this product commercialised on a large scale.

If the UK don't want it the US would take everything we could supply, and if they don't want it ect etc etc. I personally think there is too much focus on the UK. It is evident from the placing RNS that the US were more involved in developing this phase 3 trial the the UK. Most of the interferon research and publicity is coming out of countries other than the UK. When have you seen any mention of interferon in the UK mainstream media. There has been very little.

Tyla, Not sure this is possible in double blind trial. Researchers are not meant to know who is receiving what. Also the chances of this happening would be very extremely slim and would surely have been thought of in the design of the trial. A non issue I would expect. Would also be easy to pull out the data at the end on how many households had to patients dosed and look at any discrepancies. Non issue I would have thought.

The simple fact is once this drug gets through phase 3 trials and receives approval every dose we make we be sold. The world is a big place and any number of vaccines and treatments will be needed to bring this under control. The virus is completely out of control at present. The current stats are frightening.

In the past month worldwide daily cases have gone from approx 350,000 to just under 600,000. Daily deaths from 5000 to 10,000. Both curves are on an exponential trajectory!

Governments need to pull their finger out and get medications available ASAP. When you can consider how much has been spent on test and trace etc how they haven’t thrown a billion at upscaling production of interferon beta in the hope phase 3 replicates phase 2 is bordering on criminal!

Have you done any research other the age of the company? Synairgen is a drug development company. It takes a long time to develop a drug and get it to market. This company is on the verge, in the next 6 months, to have a fully approved drug against covid and eventually COPD with the hope of being a broad based antiviral.

Since when has it been the role of the government to ask the MHRA to assess a drug or vaccine? For ever and a day it has been the manufacturers who apply for regulatory approval. Publish the data for all to see would be a good starting point. So much was made about Synairgen's phase 2 trials needing a peer review to be legitimate. Has one journalist asked for the Pfizer data to be peer reviewed? Not that I have heard!

We can't even get one third of the worlds population to have clean drinking water. What chances will they have of getting vaccinated for covid in the next 2 years. SFA. The vaccines will help the wealthier countries maybe in the medium term but it is dreamland to think the countries that struggle with the basics like sewage and drinking water that they will be vaccinated next year.

This company has a bright future regardless of Covid, even though in my opinion they are positioning themselves perfectly with their covid POC device.

Exactly. There is one thing this pandemic has taught us is that you can’t control outbreaks like this via lab based testing. POC has a huge future in controlling future outbreaks and disease as well as getting life back to some semblance of normality in the coming years. Happy to go long here.
