I am all for a vaccine to come quickly. My business has been decimated this year. Less than 1% of our annual turnover since the pandemic began. But this just does not feel right to me!

A huge number of late trades from Friday. Had a quick look at the big ones 100k shares plus. 7 in total.

The two £250k were buys at the high price of the day of 144p.
In total 493130 were sells; 771700 were buys.

CR, I am not a conspiracy theorist in the slightest but the lack of basic research, critical thinking and cross examination of the data by the media is a disgrace. It certainly feels like we are being fed a big steaming pile of bull**** from many media sources on many fronts.

CR, There have been many much larger studies on proportions of asymptomatic cases and they run between 15%-30%. There has been a lot of research on this. From all the research I have done on LFD's ( am invested in Avacta so spend a lot of time reading about LFD's) the Innova test being used is not great at picking up asymptomatic cases so not sure the Liverpool data is great.

It is actually an impossible task to vaccinate the whole world's population. I am surprised people even think this is possible. Too much focus on the UK with respect to this drug. Even if Matt handjob keeps neglecting to mention therapeutics this drug will be essential in the poorer parts of the world, where vaccination will not be an option or only rolled out on a small scale.

CR, This is an important point and surely they should be investigating the asymptomatic infections as well.

A study from July said this about proportion of asymptomatic cases - A total of 50155 patients from 41 studies with confirmed COVID-19 were included. The pooled percentage of asymptomatic infection is 15.6% (95% CI: 10.1%-23.0%).

Kids were nearly 30% asymptomatic cases!

Not heard one person in the mainstream media question this yet.

San Diego, The majority of the funds from the placement only went to Synairgen on the 2nd of November, a whole 2 weeks ago. It took 2 weeks after the placement in March before the first patient was dosed in the phase 2 trial. The company will be pushing this trial ahead as fast as possible and I wouldn't be surprised if first patient is dosed in the next two weeks but I am sure we will find out more on Wednesday.

I am with you Big. Mandatory vaccination will never happen. There would be legal challenges everywhere.

Vaccination is obviously going to be very important in controlling covid but to think it is the 'only' measure needed is head in the sand stuff. Vaccination even at 90% is still letting symptomatic cases through the net and there is no data on asymptomatic yet!

Vaccines have only helped to eradicated two diseases ever - smallpox and Rinderpest. The media spin surrounding vaccines is a disgrace. The only way we will control this virus is a combination of vaccines, treatments and testing. Unfortunately its highly unlikely covid will be eradicated as it can move between species easily and is highly infectious.

If you ignore the daily share price swings and look at the bigger picture I am convinced this drug will play an important part in dealing with this pandemic.

City, they are still within their first wave and they have watched as other countries and gone into their second wave so can see what’s coming. If this rumour is true it is a very smart move by their authorities as unfortunately the second wave will come at some point.

Dunk, any countries regulators can approve a drug based on current data if they deem it beneficial and safe. The phase 3 is what the UK and US regulators have asked for in order to gain approval. Other countries may be happy with the weight of evidence and issue an EUA.

CW, Doesn’t look like that site is accurate. Polar now have 14m shares and nearly 8% of the company.

So what a week. Firstly the significant drop on news unrelated to the company, proving to me at least that most people in the market don't really understand the shares they have bought into and finally a peer review to confirm the results of our phase 2 trail which at least got the share price moving back in the right direction.

However I feel we have been royally shafted this week if you look at the volumes.

9th Nov. A volume of 13M shares traded. We drop from 181 to as low as 80p and settle at 110. 2m of which we know were taken up by Polar capital. MM's obviously absorbed a lot of the sell off.

13th Nov. A volume of 14.3M shares traded today. We get a measly rise from 101 to 120p at close.... MM's made a killing this week.

CW, He has made a killing on his investment in Synairgen. I don't see him selling out as an issue. The Venrock move is strange for sure.

Like you I do want to find out who has bought up all the shares as it certainly isn't PI's.
