I agree Millie. I personally think the vast majority of people posting on these boards are traders jumping between shares from what I have seen. Each share has a small group of regulars who are in it for the longer term. I am invested in a dozen other shares but rarely post on their respective boards. However I have a science background and feel this board provides me with more opportunity to contribute in a hopefully meaningful way.

Well said Andy. Everyone I have talked to has said exactly the same thing. The hard sell approach is not the way forward. Honesty about the benefits/negatives of a vaccine would be more likely to be accepted by people. But saying that the vaccine is coming and by easter all will be back to normal, people I know just aren't buying that.

If you come out and say look we have a vaccine that is 60% effective, similar to our flu jab, and this will help us get back on the road to normal, I would be more than willing to accept that and take it, if all the safety data checks out. But to say we have a vaccine and by easter covid never existed, anyone with any kind of intelligence realises that that is just not possible and someone is pushing ****e for their own benefit!

I would like to know if they got produced. IMO they must have in some capacity. There must be some stock of drug otherwise the MAP is pointless. The MAP was set up to sell product and not just the odd dose here or there otherwise Clinigen would not have got involved.

Also, not much has been said around this: " Synairgen expects to be able to deliver "a few 100,000" doses a month by the winter" from RM's interviews on 20th July. We have to assume that all those doses were made and hence Clinigen will have a large supply to sell this winter.

Otherwise why would Clinigen enter into a MAP agreement if they had nothing to sell? I think revenues being generated now through the MAP agreement could be more significant than anyone realises.

I personally think SNG have pulled a master stroke with the clinigen deal. It was their only route to get this drug in patients ASAP as the regulators were not fronting up with EUA.

Look at some numbers.

Unlicensed MAP drugs provided clinigen with £160m (25% of total revenue) revenue. They have now got hold of SNG001 in the middle of the 2nd wave. They will be trying to sell as much as they possibly can.

Take a look at their annual report. Quite an interesting company.

You could read the rns however which says trial will start in Q4 and we are still in Q4.

I wouldn't expect that we would be told about any use of the MAP program, unless there was significant use of it that would materially add to SNG.

One thing of note though was in the Clinigen trading update released last week where they were bullish on the MAP signups.

Why has the BBC not informed the public of the SNG001 home trial (https://www.covidtrialathome.com ) which could be helping to save lives now?

Not one response from them. Bugger them..... tv licence not being renewed next year.

Good point. The other big issue is the number of subjects in the 90% arm is just too small. A small number of infections for those who had the vaccine will change those results dramatically, hence the need for AZN to basically run a new trial with that dose.

The real issue here is that AZN used this data to try and bring their efficacy up to 70%. Treating us like summa kinda chumps!

Watched a good interview yesterday with Alex Grosky CEO of Johnson & Johnson (US largest healthcare company from October but still doing the rounds on Bloomberg. Interesting his thoughts on therapeutics.

Data is king in drug approval and the SNG are developing a dataset that will be hard to refuse.

Syn, that is the world of big pharma. Much influence on government decisions. However plenty of small biotechs get gobbled up by big pharma for billions of pounds and that is our play here as I am sure you are aware.

Typically BBC try to put a positive spin on the azn issues.

The main issue I have worth it, that the BBC neglects to report, is that the 90% arm had no one above 55 in the trial.

Also a nice rounding up by the bbc of total number of people in that arm.

CG, Sounds like you could fill this trial in a few weeks for usia you are seeing that many people a day! Start referring them to the trial.

Unfortunately it is their only option. They bet everything the vaccine and there is no way they are not going to use them. Whether or not it will solve the problem is the unknown. I am betting that it won't based on the history of vaccines and what happens with the flu vaccine.
