all share sites I glance at tend to be frustrated with their BOD - so how could
Amerisur improve their shareholder communications?. I assume JW is up to his
neck in work and cannot send out monthly progress reports - he is presumably the
only person who knows what is going on & is as upset as anyone by the share
performance having bought at 20p - but hopefully his gut information tells him that
all will come good in time - but of course many shareholders have liquidity problems
& need to sell from time to time. But like it or not GC does not give a very dynamic
impression as an oil boss & perhaps the sad death recently will allow some bright
new director to be introduced . But knowledge of the reality of mining in South
America is no doubt in short supply. So lets love JW and hope he will keep us
happier soon.
I would like to know whether institutions are getting out of AMER due to
Climate Change / fossil fuels or due to the slow exploration success of
Amer. Or Both.
I am sticking out for a long term profit hoping for a buyout in 3/5 years -
both JW & Giles must have that strategy and they may not be too concerned over
short term share price.
It's helped my impatience by viewing a Netflix rock climbing movie where
the two climbers wait NINETEEN DAYS attached to the vertical rock face 2000 feet up -
They wait to achieve the almost impossible move to get further up .
In our case someone else is doing all the hard work!
I checked out the 20m Amer share buyer Grandeur Peak (USA) mentioned by Colonel Drake . Generally
they had a lousy year on most of their managed funds ( av -15%) with their 4th quarter 2018
Micro Fund helped by a +27% contributed from Amerisur.
One of the real pleasures of being invested in Ameris the quality of the messages - in particular from BaysilHope and also Colonel Drake to mentiontwo. It’s a sort of thriller with no one knowing the twists and turns to come. Dreams ofglory may be dashed but with the wise sayingsof BHope we have at least had an intelligent wise ride.
It would be interesting to know how many long
term Amer holders have stayed the course
since the days of 65p - they should be rewarded
in some way for their patience and belief. I wonder
how long to get up to 65 - nearly a fourbagger.
This board may forget that right now the
company is under tremendous pressure to
achieve the projected drills and we are greedy
onlookers forgetting the realities of working in a
rain infested forest with all the complications
of pacifying local communities apart from security
issues.
I switched off reading AMER stock prices in mid-November at 10p - feeling sick at the
price slump, the oil slump, chat comments against the BOD - against my will I came across
the share price a week ago at 14.75p. It was seemingly a miracle - all was transformed during
that month! What never changed was my belief in JW - I had seen so many scumbags running
companies & I just had a gut feeling that here was someone sincere. Noone knows what Amer's
future will turn out to be - but so long as JW is at the helm & investing himself we stand a fair chance.
Why is there so little discussion on this share - only three comments posted since Nov 2016.? I appreciate the attitude of Oozie Cats who is one of the reasons I have invested in Telit. He is clearly a man of very serious judgment who does not seek the limelight but just does a great job leading Telit. This must reassure institutional investors specially since he holds just under 20% of the shares. Once we see how the 39 million € is spent - in about 12 months you will see this share up to 500p.
The question is whether the 50m£ purchase is going to weigh on the share price for a while . One wonders why non-Exec Drector Leslie Anne Read is buying again & why Chairman Brode needs to buy more to add to his huge holding.
Some serious sales today - approx 1 million shares . Normal profit taking. Interesting to know if the accumulated loss in the books of Net Dimensions can be set off against parent company profit. Also why has Net Dimensions not done more in the China market, being based in Hong Kong.
