What would you prefer? £40m shared by 40m shares, £200m by 400m or £1b by 4000m? The longer we wait for a deal the more shares will be in issue!

Losing a fortune on a disappointing drug trial result is quite different from losing it on a failing drug company. My original investment in IMM is now worth 44% of what I paid - in VAL is worth 2.95% of what I paid. I know which was and is the better long term investment.

ValjJu (and others) Have a look at their website to see what other companies they're involved in, especially the about us section. The purpose/result may not be to rock the boat, but to try to extract value out of the shares. The question that remains for me is simply - why is the BOD forced to accept massive dilutions when raising funds, even compared with similar sized Bios. I wouldn't mind paying their salaries if the SP was still the 75p (equiv) I paid 7 years ago.

so why's the offer just gone up to 3p? Still quoted 2.675p to buy 100k+. If one did it would now look like a sell. I have a feeling there's a lot to shift today for a big sell order in low 2.5 region.

The spread has not doubled - its still around 0.1p or so. (EG Buy 2.8p, sell 2.71p at present). The difference is that the quoted prices are usually in multiples of 0.25p, so round up/down to get buy 3p, sell 2.5p. If you understand the system you will see why we get "strange" SP jumps. (Don't ask me why its multiples of 0.25p, and occasionally its not, as yesterday with buy of 2.7p quoted. I suspect MMs have their own agenda for doing this.)

Thanks for you analysis and comments. Are you assuming a NH of no difference in treatments, or that Lupazor is superior to Placebo. (Ie 2 or 1 tailed)? The figures given seem to be 2-tailed tests. Did you make the 139 as 35/74 on placebo, and 40/65 on lupazor to get your %s? Why do you think they didn't give a p value for the one test?

They don't need new authority to convert warrants. That's why new warrants are included in the 216m but not old ones. I'd quite overlooked options though.

Yes, I'd been puzzled myself, and it was your first post that prompted me to look carefully at the figures. It all probably explains the size of the placing, and the the reason for it in the trading session before the AGM. They now have no headroom to issue more shares (except the warrants already counted) so would need an EGM to do so. My conclusion - money from elsewhere before the year end!

Casper There is no real problem here. 216m + 263m makes 479m. There'll only be 455m in issue after the new placing. Plus the Nov warrants (9.9m) Dec warrants (11.8m) and the new warrants (1.8m) makes around 479m. Some of these warrants have been cashed in, so I may have double counted - also the Beaufort warrants may have been cancelled. The reason the RNS had to come before the AGM is that if 6 and 7 were being pulled from the agenda at the AGM, then the previous EGM allowance would disappear too. (See detail of previous resolution at EGM.)

I'm not surprised 401 is missing from the RNS. Funding or partnership for 401 will be organised by Valiseek, and not directly by Valirx. That's not to say JV is not near, but I don't think we can conclude anything simply from this RNS and the need for funding for the other drugs. What still puzzles me is why there has been no mention yet of preparatory work for 401 P3, and no funds raised for this irrespective of a partner being found. The 6 month old paper suggesting raising new shares in Valiseek in preparation for P3, did not obviously involve any funds from Valirx - their 55% holding would have been diluted. Is this still a possible plan?

As someone who values the research work of both SAR and IMM, I am saddened to see any poster who ****s off the prospects of either in the way Thoth you have done yesterday. Your comment on here is a biassed summary of IMM's prospects in the next week - IMO there are other important factors to consider when investing in a bio such as IMM.

Same here. So I put a limit buy order in at 0.8p. Immediately the 624k shot in, the buy dipped to 0.79p for 1 second, and then returned to 0.85p. How does the system work?

Unfair comments, in my opinion. The SAR SP has appreciated more than SRRA since the announcement of the partnership in September 2016. Not by much, but just load up a comparison chart and you will see. However much of the gain in SP for SRRA has been in the last 6 months. I suspect we will only get the benefit of this when we get the next milestone.
