I'm puzzled. Par value stated to be $0.001 in filing - yet I thought existing shares had par value of $0.01 Anyone shed any light on this? Have I got something wrong?

I can't see how a NASDAQ listing is being planned as far ahead as June 2016. This would imply some obstacle to doing this earlier - and clearly some sort of fundraising or listing must happen well before then. Must be a mistake in the article. (I bet listing was planned for June 2015 . . . .change is to was!!!)

Hi Clem http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/XBIO/filings is where you can easily see 10-Q results (every quarter, not surprisingly), and 10-K which are the annual results. There are other filings relating to other events, eg 8-Ks. Also the other pages give quotes charts etc. There's even live level 2 data. As for Stocktrade, I have decided to transfer to ATS, and see what transpires. I'm still being told conflicting stories about whether they will accept the transfer, but for the moment I can hold and trade with Stocktrade, and will only move to Bell should ATS refuse to hold.

No, we're not. Stocktrade currently can hold and trade XBIO, but are in the process of being taken over by Alliance Trust. The debate is about where that leaves us existing customers of Stocktrade, since previously ATS wouldn't hold XBIO.

The plot thickens. I have just been looking at AJBell website, and they state: "You may only deal in CDIs for overseas markets. A CDI stands for CREST Depositary Interest, which are UK securities that represent an underlying interest in an overseas security." So we really do need to find out whether XBIO can be held as a CDI.

hello 5teveW and all ATS have confirmed to me that "things have moved on" since they were unable to process the transfer to the US 2 years ago, and they can hold and trade XBIO provided the stock is held as a CDI. I thought that XBIO was non-crest, and the £50 US charge from Stocktrade tells me that currently they are using a US agent and dealing outside of Crest. (Clem - I suspect the US agent got the medallion thing sorted.) Quote form transfer document charges section: "If you trade in Overseas listed securities that can’t be settled through Crest you will also pay a £50 settlement charge." So my conclusion is that ATS won't hold or trade XBIO.

The ironic thing is that I was a client of ATS, and changed to Stocktrade when ATS refused to accept the new US listed shares. I had to get certificated and fend for myself! Nothing wrong with ATS otherwise - dealing charges are reasonable - I still have an ISA account. Will keep you posted.

Anyone else with Stocktrade? Transfer documents have arrived today, and it looks as though ATS wont trade (or hold?) non-Crest overseas securities. However these are supposed to be listed in your covering letter according to p11 of the transfer document. Anyone have XBIO listed in their letter? I don't.

How did you get an alert? XBIO doesn't issue RNS's any more - they're the US equivalent. Perhaps it was for Wild Bunch? Or are you winding us up?

Both - of course. The note can be converted into shares at $0.15 and so implies considerable dilution compared with last year's issue at just under $1, and the 11p paid some while ago. I'm afraid we'll need a hefty consolidation to get us to NASDAQ, and the big question is the offer price that they will be forced to give the company away at. Let's hope Baxters will have some influence - they've much more to lose than SynBio (who's average is now going to be much lower by getting a slice at 0.15 without offering the same deal to anyone else!) There must still be considerable risk attached to non-completion of a listing in 4 months and then just disappearing into the clutches of SynBio for zilch.
