Just returned from a 2 week holiday to Turkey. As a shareholder of TC I like to do my bit and booked with TC. I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH THEM AGAIN!! We had major problems on both flights, there and back. TC directly responsible both times. Going to Turkey I checked in the day before to avoid long checking in queues on the day and so we only had to drop bags off at the bag drop desk. When we arrived TC staff were using the bag drop desk to allow people to check in for various flights which meant we had to wait in that queue for an hour and a quarter just to drop bags off. It was chaos and TC staff were very unhelpful as to why they were letting people do this and we're running round like headless chickens. Very unprofessional. A total waste of time checking in the day before!! Our flight was to depart at 7am. At 5.30am a message came on screen saying----MORE INFORMATION REGARDING THIS FLIGHT AT 7am obviously meaning it was not going on time. No information by 7.15 and told it was a mistake and information would be at 8am. By 8.15 there was no information so I asked TC staff what was happening. They then said there would be information at 10am but would not give any reasons. Athe 9.30 we were called to the departure gate for boarding. We all queued up for about 15 minutes only to be told that we were not departing and to return to the lounge. They stated the aircraft had broken down and parts had to be flown in from elsewhere. They said more information would be available at 1pm. At 11.30 we were called again to the departure gate for boarding only to be told that the air crew had now RUN OUT of hours and they had to find another crew!! We eventually boarded and took off at 1pm , six hours late. On the flight back to Manchester our flight was due to leave Turkey at 2.35pm only to be told that TC had cancelled the previous flight to East Midlands and that TC were now combining the MANCHESTER and EAST MIDLANDS flights and using a larger aircraft because the Estate Midlands aircraft had BROKEN DOWN. There was absolute chaos as all seat number reservations had been altered which meant many people were not sitting together or getting the extra leg room seats they had booked which included us. Passengers were in uproar!! WE EVENTUALLY departed an hour late. On board the crew told us that because the flight was not planned using this aircraft , the aircraft was not fully stocked for catering etc. All East Midlands passengers obviously then had to be coached from Manchester airport to East Midlands airports. Every passenger on the outward flight is now eligible for �350 flight compensation for flight delay from TC as well as all other claims that will be going in to them. Absolutely disgusting service from TC. Unprofessional, uncaring , no information , miss information etc etc. I will never go with them again. I will go with TUI , a much more reliable professional company. Shame on you Thomas Cook.
