It's so last century that the world's biggest tourism operator Tui put millions into it successfully!! It certainly works for them. The older generations are a massive part of tourism and they are not massive users of social media. It is they who will provide profit in the higher margin more exotic holidays. You have to target advertising at all your core markets. It is you who is out of touch CastlefordTiger.

I absolutely agree Jumpst. Over the past 2 or 3 years Tcgs TV advertising campaigns have been dire compared with Tui and Jet2. Not sure who they hired to make those ads but they were not memorable or appealing and didn't make me want to book with them. Having said that the bod must have ratified them so they simply couldn't have understood their target markets. I have not seen any Thomas Cook ads on mainstream Tv over the last few weeks whereas all their rivals are pumping them out. It has been and is a very important time to be touting for business so i dont understand why TC havnt done it. A good ad can entice people into booking and recoup the costs involved and i feel they will have lost out to their peers in this respect. It is false economy not to do mainstream ad campaigns at peak booking periods so I just don't understand TCs thinking on this point.

The offer is 9.111111p per share. With so much news coming from so many different angles it seems that this deal is unfortunately already done which is bad news but surely the sp won't fall below the offer per share price in the morning , surely it will rest higher with the assumed input of capital and investment?

The article who's link you have provided is full of inaccuracies!! Just to mention two ---- 1) Tcg has a market value of around half a billion at the moment! And not the amount stated by you and also in your provided article!! 2) Tcg has a debt mountain of around at least 400 million at the moment! And not the amount stated by you and also in your provided article!! Please get you facts right instead of just reading articles and then spouting off. Mr F showing confidence by buying £50000 of Tcg? A man who earns millions! Why would he only buy £50000s worth to show confidence? That is a paltry amount of money to him. If he wanted to show real confidence he should be buying a million. To me it smacks of a bit of desperation , trying to boost the sp but by limititing the amount he invests in case it goes wrong! Don't be fooled by his intention!

Not too long ago I bought some Fjet shares. I have just looked into my share account and it shows that I now have 5.7 times the amount I bought but it is not registering any value per share? Can anyone help me and explain this please. Do Fjet shares still have any value on the London Stock Exchange? If not how can I sell them? Thanks to anyone who can shed light on this

Your right the debt is a serious burden but it is the servicing of that debt which is the major problem and that coupled with management inadequacies is causing the decline. Obviously only my opinion.

Or a rise to 140 which is a 180% rise!!
