Did you fill the TCGs own online form in for delays? We had a 7 hour delay last year with Tcg from Manchester and all we did was file this form and the compensation was paid quickly without any fuss whatsoever. The service for us regarding this was EXCELLENT.

Too many people getting too excited too early. Only one confirmed bidder at the moment and probably only for Condor due to antitrust element. Only one bidder means no competition and that means low price. Let's see what else if anything materialises before we start jumping in the air!

It's been obvious for some time that people have paused their holiday booking plans so It's not something we didn't know already. It's bound to have a big impact on Tcg results this year even more so than last year.

The key sentence in the sky news report to me is ----"Lenders prepare for crunch talks" ---Not a good sign!. This to me suggests that the vultures are gathering to get Tcg on the cheap because of the imminent problem with the lenders as regards the huge debt.

Come on everybody , get those fingers and toes crossed and wish for rain , snow , thunder and lighting in the UK until the end of the year as we dont want anymore excuses from Tcg as regards nice weather here! We can't be doing with warm weather here so early in the year. Lol

I dont think so facester. It is very ominious to me that they have put out this rns. Jumping before your pushed comes to mind! Hope I'm wrong but the possible repercussions of this rns are not nice to think about on an already fragile sp.

There will always be some people who prefer to book their holidays face to face in a shop , mainly the older generation , that is a fact. My neighbours ( in their seventies ) wouldn't get abroad on holiday at all if there wasn't a travel agency in town. They just don't trust and can't really use the internet. It's a generational thing at the moment that I assume will gradually decline over time as internet savvy people become more and more and the less savvy generations become less and less. So getting rid of shops has to be a very gradual and targeted exercise as each individual shop becomes unprofitable and a cash burden , which is what Tcg are doing. At the moment Tcg shops are an advantage if they are getting in the right level of business but at some point more and more will have to go as their business declines. Having said this the Tcg shop in my town always seems to have plenty of customers in so as i said closures have to be targetted and gradual which is good business sense as long as they keep on top of changing behaviours.

I don't think they have any. Most of their aircraft are ageing.

Your right ROMANY-ROE , too much scaremongering over brexit and as you , I believe nothing will change for the average person. There are too many people taking advantage of brexit uncertaintanty for their own ends but I can understand if some people are hesitant to book holidays over it and im pretty sure it will impact on Tcg bookings. The other two things i think will adversely effect Tcg bookings are ----- 1) people being put off if the airline is sold. I believe it will create uncertainty in people's minds regarding TCGs effectiveness to provide the full package and 2) The mild winter weather we are now having. Look at the way they blamed the summer weather we had for lack of profit. All only my opinion and I hope I'm wrong.

They have made their mind up then , the airline is going. Can't help feel it's a bad move and a knee-jerk reaction to the debt problem. We've had a taster of what the market thinks of it by today's drop so dread to think what is going to happen when its gone. No one seems interested in the aged fleet as a whole and looks like a value of around 500m has been put on it. Not a good decision by the board!!

I agree totally with what you have just stated. Big mistake in my opinion to sell the airline. Would be more sense to raise funds with a rights issue. Short term pain but medium long term hope!

Quisty you are absolutely right. Fact , reality and you have said it as it is. I want Tcg to do well but you have to say it as it is at any given moment in time. That is called reality but some other people on here for some reason cant grasp that and can't accept other people's opinion.

I'm also a long term holder , probably longer than most on this board. But my posts are based on realism and fact and are not based on negativity for negativitys sake nor innuendo nor mischief. Let's start getting real on this board instead of many just spouting off for effect and sensationalism.

Selling a big asset as the airline is a big , big mistake. It's selling an asset through short term panic. Once it's gone , it's gone and will make TC even more vulnerable and dependent on market forces and will have a negative impact on the sp which is what's happened today on the prospect of its sale. This is the reality. It's not scaremongering or deramping its fact which many on here just don't understand as I think many on here are just on this board for mischief and effect.

All the aircraft are not owned by Tcg. Many are leased.

Debt is a huge shackle around TCGs neck. It is killing the company and has to be reduced some way but I think selling a profitable big asset like the airline smells of panicking and is the wrong way to do it. A share rights issue imo would be better. At least that way the asset would be kept , the debt reduced and medium long term prospects would be better. They are obviously preparing to sell it but imo it would leave them more vulnerable to market forces. One way or another that debt has to be vastly reduced or eliminated if possible. It will only be done by drastic action as they cannot rely on their profits to do it. It's all very well trying to expand your way out of debt but as we all know expansion brings more debt. I hope they make the right decisions!
