Maybe they are finalising an agreed bid (as per Sky 176p offer) or preparing a staunch defefence proposition.

Nothing surprises me here other than the shares price stayed well above the 115p pre bid level.

Saga consolidated shares 15:1 so in old money your purchases are 22p - 27p.

Provided this recovers and is all hunky dory in the end - albeit delayed yet again due to EU incompetence with the vaccine rollout - then you should have nothing to worry about.

As long as they are paid for, if they go to £5 £6 £8 when all normalises then you will be quids in.

It may crash lower, it may bound higher, there will be more opportunities to get in or out over the next 6 months.

What's done is done. The decision may have been a good one, just bad timing.

Was content with the take on the Wall problem and also the small % on the field now not being mined at this has saved millions of $ of stripping costs.

Strong balance sheet, giving confidence for future dividend levels.

Bit of a woolly answer around the Q1 production, seemed to be a reluctance to state how it was going and referenced the full year rather than Q1. Tried to skirt round it a bit so sounded a bit dodgy.

Analysts seemed content. Presentation very upbeat.

May add further at the levels.

Lots of positive buzzwords and West African near completion.

I try to be helpful, but do not intend to advise, just share an experience. I am sure there are other better strategies out there but it works for me and I make enough to make it worthwhile. Certainly many times my highest professional salary and without much tax and no NI.

Heck this tax year my investments are earning more than Boris! Perhaps I should donate to the refurb at No 10 (although I have paid a hefty amount in stamp duties)

I prefer the gradual approach than all in on a 3x spread bet, high leveraged gambles.

I may not get rich as quickly but let's face it, if you get your first million sorted, do you really need another million?

There may be a move after the conference call later today.

Remember, Investing is not about a one day wonder, although days like that are good for adding or reducing.

Think about it this way

Go to a bookies and place a bet and lose, race is OVER - 100% loss.

Buy shares and you can rerun the race each day until you get the result you need - cling on to the saddle - as the race is not over on good news or bad news or absence of news.

Rarely do people lose 100% of the stake in investing. Some day, most trades come good and you may be a winner.

News driven drops like today are manna for LT investors. The news will be forgotten and then reassessed and gapped higher..

I am in so many, it would be hard to overlap. Plenty of bargains out there today so I will not fixate on CEY as I am content it will go much higher in the next 3 months.

I am holdng my core for this alone as I cannot be bothered watching marginal upticks in an overall market soured by transient travel news.

I have alerts set for 120 so if that pings I will check back in.

Dividend 3c may disappoint (but given the 2020 year - this should be ok)
Free cash flow above consensus average.

Who knows where the price will be at 8am, but I am buying any drops.
