Just rebought 1st tranche.

HL did not allow more than thn automatic 1000 - had to go via a limit order.

Prev in at 8.14 out above 11 with a 30% gain and now back in again with the profit offset to build a position to average to £zero cost - is the plan - a trebler here.

1000 max buy at the moment ?

With the vanilla budget that did very little - it seems to indicate that there will be no early election (May 2nd surprise not happening).

For HBR that means no early energy levy increase by a grotesque Liebour Starmer govt. Delayed until the late Sep / early Oct to get it out of the way before the US vote Trump in.

Lol @ Starmer, just called for a May 2 election in the HoC !

At least for Harbour the next 6 months have no further tax uncertainty and should trend upwards.

Seems the buyback is aimed to reduce the shares in circulation before a low ball bid attempt. Crazy that the market does not find value at these levels.

Options now seem to be

# Get out

# Average down if you have funds (and the risk appetite)

# Hold for recovery

#Take a tax loss (if any funds are in non ISA) and buy back in an ISA for recovery tax free, creating a tax loss to use against other gains

See it as a positive and expected a sharp markdown - maybe the news has not filtered though but seems to be some sales going through on the open.

Still expect a pullback to 70p

Read as a decisive move by management to exit a lower margin part of the business in a controlled way or through a sale.

Long term view it is necessary and it will stem outflows and allow better use of resources.

LT... a buying opportunity again.

Guess no one knows for sure but anyone can take a loss and salvage 23p per share if they wish to or hedge their bets with a 50% trim and assume the recovered stock will cover the higher average or at least save a total loss.

Who knows who only holds 5000 shares or 500000 shares, who has changed their position or who has exited 🤔.

I choose to see a way through. I may be wrong. Either way my money, my loss or gain.

If shareholders wanted Ageas shares they would buy then directly. Thought never even crossed my mind to hold them. Will cash up when all the final bids are in.
