As always a fair analysis. a £20mln market cap is pitiful given the contracts ahead despite the debt. My crystal ball has been hitting a rich vein of late and it is usually an opportunistic bid to grab a company with potential.

I will not be surprised if an offer of something comes in and have been loading up sub 10p (not selling) in anticipation of such a move.

Buyers will be looking at this as a steal pre FSS pre IM judgement pre UK funding announcement ready to pounce.

The potential is still there and as the months go buy, the dotting joining is prgressing well.

A surprise from nowhere is what I anticipate. DYOR & GLA

Expecting a bid approach here from a predator in an agreed deal that rewards the shareholders and JW. Would prefer to remain a shareholder but would not suprise me that a bigger player takes advantage, provides financing and bids around £200m / £300m.

Would feel robbed of potential but still a concern (in a good way)

(Sharecast News) - Britain's competition regulator on Friday said that the Tate & Lyle Sugars purchase of UK & Ireland assets from France's Tereos could result in higher sugar prices for UK shoppers.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has given both sides five working days to offer a remedy or face a more in-depth investigation after ruling that the deal would see two of the three sugar suppliers in the UK merge.

That would leave Associated British Food's British Sugar as T&L's only competitor, it added.

T&L bought a distribution facility in West Yorkshire along with Tereos' UK consumer operations in November 2023 for an undisclosed sum. The facility packs and distributes white granulated, baking and specialty sugars to food retailers and wholesalers in the UK, under the Whitworths sugar brand and private labels.

"The supply of sugar to grocery retailers in the UK is already highly concentrated. This deal would bring together two of the three players in the UK sugar sector, reducing competition and choice further for people and businesses," said CMA senior director of mergers Sorcha O'Carroll.

PETROFAC EXTENDS TURKMENGAS RELATIONSHIP WITH GALKYNYSH GAS FIELD OPERATIONS SUPPORT CONTRACT

Petrofac, a leading provider of services to the global energy industry, has been awarded an operations contract from Turkemengas at the Galkynysh Gas Field, in Turkmenistan.

The three-year contract, valued at over US$200 million includes: provision of personnel to supervise and support operations and maintenance activity; the provision of technical support and procurement services; and the development and implementation of management systems to support efficient operations of the Galkynysh Gas Field Central Processing Facilities 1 and 1A. No performance guarantees are required to be posted in relation to this contract.

Delivery of the Galkynysh Gas Field project, for state-owned Turkemengas, was one of the largest engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPC) projects delivered by Petrofac’s Engineering & Construction business unit. The contract to develop the world’s second largest gas field was awarded in 2009, and completed in 2013.

Located near Yoloten (Mary Province, Turkmenistan),
