FWIW I trimmed 1/3 above 173p to take some risk off the table and now sit with a sub £1 average again on a sizeable holding and will await developments with interest.

Most should be a lot happier today with their positions.

Investors SHOULD NOT PLAY with money - it should be respected as it is hard earned. Patience, at they say is a virtue.

An example of the snooker rack working is today with Spirent. Sitting at a handsome profit and the retrun overall was well worth the patience.

Just be content and recognise other people have strategies that differ.

Pleasant opening move would signify that a higher bid may come as thought it may sit around 160p

CHELM - glad the value was at that level for others - when I saw the RNS I thought hope it is not 130p !

Spitent has a unique offering so hoping for sweetener, a higher bid and shortcoming propelling the price like Wincanton.

Different strategies for different shares and yes, falling knive etc, I get it. I do the uptrend too.

The racking works well for me on the whole so guess I'l continue to do what works for me. Very useful to get a foothold into a stock. ITV has been a stellar one for me when most are losing all the way down so I will continue the strategy used here.

Suppose I wish to invest say £60,000 in a company it is too much to risk on a whim for the very negative surprises that you state. Hence the 1/15th entry as no one will time a bottom exactly. As I stated I exited the stock completely so I bought back under 7% of my disposal so I had an interest.

The end result is usually a core that can be built up to a low cost holding. Sometimes a spike makes a temporary exit attractive. Later I may want to readd.

The phase ITV is in is not an upchannel but yet while the churn lower continues there is a lot of potential to tap into.

A great rule in life is to see the best in others. I also tend to trust what they state until I know otherwise. Your comment about the return on the deposit accounts made me crease up. I exceed that return in many multiples despite your doubts.

@beo - definitely not a day trader, but if I hit lucky I could trim by chance I am out the door. I mostly trade the same 150 stocks that I know the patterns of and of course there will always be a few turkeys but most can be turned around in time.

Was fortunate to have traded my holding to a sub zero average cost and have been adding as there levels aroound 140p. A retest of the recent lows but there seems no reason to expect a downside surprise given the recent update which was very positive.

Have been adding back at these levels whilst keeping a very low average cost when building up.

Upside surprise, bid interest, dividend return, continued improvements - this shares flies when it moves so a +15p ++ day could arrive.

Just wanted to be in with a bigger holding and expect in 2024 that 180/190 to be reached & breahed. If not I will add on drops until it spins around.

UK incorporated is being bid on most days and already a target - WG. is in the mix.

I try not invest 100% in a first entry.

Usually 1/15th tranche to gain a foothold and then add on further drops increasing the quantity depending on the stock.

In reality it is only a switch from a dual list.

Grey Monk sets it out well.

It is obvious the uncertainty on the board is causing convern but in reality is a switch to the dual listing. I decided to speak my HL Corporate Actions contact about it and have no concerns about the delisting..

HL cannot be clear as until TUI AG have determined the listing in Germany, HL cannot inform with certainty until TUI AG advise and HL CropActions team are in regular contact for details. Frustrating for some, but in reality a non event.

In the event,(0.00000000001% chance), of HL not being able to trade the share in Germany simply the holding will be transferred to their 3rd party HSBC and will be tradable although diffenent commissions will apply.

IMO this is not a cliff face that TUI investors face, just a bit of administative disruption. The risks and rewards of being a shareholder will be no different.

I fully expect HL and other reputable platforms to trade TUI the Germany listed stock.
