NCYT peaked at over £5 a share and £350m market cap on 9 April, this was a day after AZ and GSK partnership announcement and WHO approvals given

No doubt part of that was due to them being the first to get their product to market, and all credit to them for doing so, since that they have levelled off even with sales updates, likewise people moving into other competitors has had its effect

Just something to bear in mind as we see how GDR progresses in the coming weeks and how the market reacts

Interesting to see what happens to NCYT, no doubt their revenue is going to be big, but how does that translate to a sustained market cap, especially when some are talking of £10 and £20 a share in months to come

Surely the higher market cap you get on AIM the harder it gets to keep progressing, you either have to move to FTSE, start paying dividends, or have a long term sustainable income source

There is no denying they could end up with a giant pot of cash in the bank, but how will the market value that in years to come

NCYT and GDR could go onto having market caps of £500m or more in time, but definitley short term upside is here with GDR

Thanks technik that is exactly what I wondered about, how the point of care test is affected by the lab test, so in simple terms it seems like the science for both tests is complete, just have to install it on the point of care test which they will do in due course

I will say, the GDR accounts are 20 pages long, the recent AVCT accounts are over 100 pages long, why?

It's pages after pages of look at us, look at what we do, GDR is very much get head down and get the job done, then let the results do the talking

Coming round to the conclusion that AVCT like to show off in everything they do, talk themselves up all the time, just compare a GDR Rns to a AVCT Rns, worlds apart, AVCT is rampy as anything

GDR product will be on the market in a few weeks, then sales orders will come through, that will do for me, simples

But isn't one of the big benefits is our test gives faster results?

For example if a lab can process 1,000 of the standard tests per day, it might be able to process 2,000 or 3,000 per day of ours

Hence the per day capacity rockets up

Capacity will be needed on a giant scale in months to come, never mind 100,000 a day processing ability

dont think some of us regulars can go a day without checking in on GDR here can we lol

am i right in saying the early lab tests had about a 2 day turn around, but at the moment they are trying to keep it well under 2 days and even in some circumstances get results back within 24 hours - however the important thing is how many can be processed per day by a lab

wonder at what rate labs will be able to process the GDR test compared to others, we could look at some numbers, as you say bladderman 40 minutes for GDR, so if other tests take like 2 hours to give results (that amount of time sticks in my mind for some reason), then it means a lab can process 3 GDR tests to every 1 of the other tests

the reason why testing capacity is hard to ramp up, is not because it necessarily needs more tests being conducted, it is because it needs the labs to be able to process them quickly enough

who would not want to be using the GDR test when it could be like 3 times faster in labs (so 3 times the capacity in the same time frame) - the number of people that can be tested per day would then sky rocket

however please any correct me if i am not on the right lines, especially about how long the specific lab time is for other tests at the moment

From January (pre coronavirus):

GDR, £7m to £47m - increase of £40m
ODX, £22m to £99m - increase of £77m
AVCT, £31m to £227m - increase of £196m
NCYT, £12m to £271m - increase of £259m

yes point of care test is the second assay, however probably a question for technik, it might have been mentioned there was a link between test 1 and test 2?

this is what i was wondering anyway, how transferable is test 1 so that work can be carried out to get test 2 done in good time
