Monday 4th May we will only 3 weeks away from "We are working very aggressively and plan to have product available in the next five weeks."

Product available has to mean launch and sales ready!

Maybe we get distribution agreement update before that point, with update on separate WHO approvals and big orders shortly after

NCYT had their product ready at a time coronavirus felt like it would only ever really affect China, so there were chunky gaps between stages, you would expect in the thick of it, all GDR progress updates will come far quicker

there are over 7 billion people on the planet and however many times will people have to be tested

agree with these comments, and to be honest In2Win, your question is a valid one, but nobody can answer it with any 100% certainty of when anything could change in the future

so maybe your questions is 6 months early, a year early, 2 years early, however genedrive have other projects, and to be honest, having this cash injection might enable to crack on with things far faster, for example the point of care portable kit they have - maybe in time that could become something globally used by millions and millions for a extremely wide variety of things

everyone will hope to sell on the peak, but we just wont, so i guess no point in us hoping to do so

ask yourself this question, if GDR are able to cash in heavily on the coronavirus market, where do you see GDR in say 2 years time, even if coronavirus is a far lesser issue then

if GDR heavily cash in, they will be massively profitable, so as long as the company is run properly, and why should we believe anything different, then in 2 years time GDR would still be massive, with an incredible fat wedge of cash in their bank, or that cash has been used for investments to diversify across the sector, GDR will have evolved and be something completely different, at least a company worth far more than £40m

1. i believe testing demand will significantly increase over the coming months

2. any coronavirus stock at the moment is somewhat built on expectation, so at some point in the future, when testing might stabalise and maybe start to not be needed as much, maybe when a vaccine is ready (but testing wont stop then because they will only give the vaccine to who actually needs it), then yes the share price is going to be affected, BUT

by then GDR might have hundreds of millions of cash built up, so the market will have to value GDR on what position the company is then in

no doubt there has to be some correlation between coronavirus being relevant and the share price still maintaining certain levels, and yes there is going to a true peak, wherever that might be, but thats the name of the game, buy low sell high

i dont mean to bring football into the discussion of when it will come back, but in plans to come back behind close doors (lets put to one side how we all feel about that), their plan would be to test everyone involved every week

so basically for every sector of the worlds economies to get back to full speed, whenever that is, i think testing some a period of time will become like part of everyday life

my personal opinion is the demand for tests is not close to what it will be when it peaks

to get economies back up and running fully, testing will be needed, over and over

so while the test timeline for have you caught it is big, the test timeline for have you still not caught it is even bigger, in my opinion

am i right in remembering a few on here (from two days ago) were thinking that £1.35 was the next gap that needed filling?

Thursday and Friday can be good times to then buy any dips

Not sold any yet, will buy the dip end of week if we get one

The loan notes dont expire for a few years, can't remember the exact dates but it is in the notes to the accounts

I don't know what rules there are to being converted, whether GDR has any say in that

But for me, that is for another day in the future

As someone else said I think, that funding has been in place for years so they are potentially happy to see GDR through to where they expect them to get to

So it ain't no dodgy short term loan arrangement where price gets shorted and games being played by the loan provider, seen that type many times in years gone bye in other stocks

i agree, the portable point of care type test instead of the lab is like the holy grail type of "have you got it test"

in that regard until GDR cracks on with its own portable version, then no doubt there is a bigger buzz of potential in AVCT because of that

im quite happy to stick with the comparison of GDR and NCYT for the time being (althought i appreciate we are not 100% the same, the science is a bit different), at least that could give us GDR holders an idea, well for those of us that like to use something else as a gauge, as best as "something else "can be in this type of market

will be very interesting to see (when hopefully GDR are product ready to sell), how we get on with demand and all that compared to NCYT, and how market reacts

thanks for the explanation but i have been in GDR since late March, many regular posters will be able to confirm this, and i know how market cap works, shares in issue and all that

could not care what the share price is, i am only concerned about market cap (as that is what the company is deemed to be valued at), any maybe this is what you are saying also, so maybe my message below came across wrong

the point about AVCT is ive never researched it, not interested in buying over there, happy with what i got in GDR, and i think NCYT is a good yard stick for us

if you track the progress of NCYT, they announced on 8th April the WHO approval and partnership with AZ and GSK, they went from market cap of £175m to over £250m that day

however, we have AVCT currently sat on £219m and have no approvals or anything like that, it just makes me curious, if anybody has a suggestion (AVCT holders?), why AVCT is seemingly far ahead of the potential cycle that for where they currently are

just a simple comparison for me, find it interesting the progress AVCT has made in the last month from 20p to £1 and as such the massive market cap value they have added - because the cash placing they did in early April was miniscule, they only raised £5m-£6m (added 32m shares to already 170m odd in play)

however that cash boost could well have given incredible market confidence, thats one angle i suppose

a simple market comparison with NCYT shows GDR is £41m where as NCYT is x7 higher at £283m

do we have a long way to go to catch up, yes

but if we can get to what NCYT are doing, then who knows if our price could be x7 of what it currently is

i would note that market cap is not purely coronavirus exposure related, but GDR and NCYT have grown from very small market caps of around £10m within 2 to 3 months - the overwhelming majority of the increase has to be down to the coronavirus tests

saying that, is there any holder here who is also in AVCT and can therefore offer a suggestion why they have a market cap of £219m when they are still only in developement of a coronavirus test, am i right in saying they are more focused on point of care testing (so similar to our second test we will get on to?)

and i know AVCT also started off the journey from January at a much higher market cap, so they have other stuff going on that had value at the time

while nothing is certain, if we truly do believe (based on the facts we can work with), that we will have our first product approved and signed off soon, ready to produce and sell, its easy to think that only then is it worth slicing

however i know this is AIM
