This is a pre cursor to how important South America is and is going increasingly become .

Trinidad and Tabago and in Jamaica where a company I am having a punt with United Oil and Gas ( the ones that bought the Egypt license from RKH ) are to release Sea bed Coring and DHI results on their acreage.

All prospective acreage outside of Middle East in "stable " areas is now more valuable by default because of this war. imo.

Thanks to this war and the increasing length of it , people in this country will lose their jobs , struggle to make ends meet , mortgages will be harder to manage and un employment will rise.

IMO, there is no chance of normality for many months after the 1st day of any agreement. The damage is going to be immense and long lasting.

Damaged and shut in oil and gas facilities and fields will take weeks / months in some cases to even begin to start up production, the shipping rates are going to stay highly inflated for a long time. The middle east will not trust the Americans now, their countries are involved against their will and offense will be taken at the lack of warning to Gulf allies, lasting damage .

With all of the above , there is surely now a decent premium put on any bid for RKH going forward, including any farm in. The cost's have all been managed perfectly so far by the early confirmed purchase of the required hardware.

So any increase in costs and elevated oil prices is going to be needed to be factored in any bid in RKH's favour.

50% discount of that is $38m.

Thinking it would be 2 weeks from finishing cores capture to lab , then lab testing the 40 odd cores 7-10 days , from the different fields and then forwarding the results to UOG who in turn forward to the independent risk assessor to input the data into his calculations for COS. How does he taketo incorporate the data ???.

So still some way to go , especially if the results are positive.

One thing I noticed is that in the 2nd video from UOG geologist and Business Development Officer, is the way the BDO talks about the seabed pockmarks and "volcano" feature, as if the features are there , not IF they are there.

Nations follow the same pattern in Europe of dealing with energy crisis , soon as an event like this occurs, a blockade, a war, a sanction , a choke point blocked like it is here. The cry for more energy security, drilling and sourcing a safe and reliable supply hits the fan .

I honestly cannot see how this war ends quickly , it will take a good amount of time to come to a resolution and who believes a regime thoroughly imbedded will give up and basically commit Hari Kiri.

Oil and gas prices are going to stay high for a good while. The chokehold of the Hormuz Strait is a very significant weapon for Iran. The middle east cannot have a prolonged period where this chokehold continues because their economies are heavily reliant on fossil fuels.

It is still 50/50 here to be clear , BUT should UOG prove that there is oil presence in the samples , the geopolitical picture will focus oil companies attention to the safe(er) regions of the world for exploration and maybe/ likely UOG benefit greatly from that.
