I wonder if face recognition also covers beaks?

I am not expecting anything from this update however it should give background knowledge of what may eventually happen next year. Face recognition was highlighted in Nano presentations but as with this years release of the iPhone if it is this years release it is likely to be old tech as opposed to next generation. If Apple is the customer we might as well get in the groove.

Display is smaller than the market for sensors it will be the secondary revenue earner and will be icing on the cake. Have you not been reading any of the company/broker output.

Microled is the future in display and it does not work with phosphors but it does work with qd’s thick or what?

Who knows the truth in history. Dow invested millions only for Samsung and LG to do their own thing. How do you know Dow was only ever their fall back plan and was sacrificed.

Market response muted to the recent Edison update. Especially as they are Nano PR and effectively all but said it can only be Apple. One thing a pi being convinced but 2 independent professionals conclude the same, well?! The current valuation ex cash and production investment makes the IP inexpensive going off what Samsung paid. With the up front payments from the US client there is no doubt a product and a guaranteed market and revenue steam.

Probably seen this before but it looks like the most likely application for infra red sensors

So July 2019. £10.7m less £5m (assuming no further revenue to July 2019). £5.7m plus tax rebate £1.4m, equals £7.1m plus half of deferred income in balance sheet £1.5m (tenner said it was received over 2 years) gives £8.6m. Current spend £9.4m shortfall £0.8m for July 2020 if no new revenue received at all. Yet forecast revenue for year to July 2019 is £6m/£7m.

Forecast here is irrelevant it is only another £3m/£4m covered 2.5 times by cash. If none of the forecast cash appears there will be sufficient cash to get through to June 2020 at current burn rate and tax rebates and deferred revenue already in balance sheet. Is it difficult to read.

I was surprised to see comments about a future cash raise. I thought the webcast again was clear there is £3m of deferred income in the balance sheet which will arise in the p&l in the financial years after July 2019. Also the forecast earnings this year is £6/7m with £3m already contracted and the balance is forecast as potential contracts are in discussion. Equally there is a£1.4m tax credit due this year. So already £4.4m in this years piggybank so a requirement to find £5m (as depreciation of £1.2m does not affect cash) with potential of £3/4m in discussion. With a starting balance of £10.7m I do not see this at all.

If you listen to the webcast it is clear there is still a lot of work in progress with OEMs. It is stated that Nano is supplying dots to Merc who is working with OEMs on a blue OLED panel with green/red QDs and this tech is the type of development we will see in LA and something Samsung is working on. Equally DOW is working with film manufacturers with other OEMs on mid range opportunists. My guesswork only it sounds like KDX with Hisense and TCL. Samsung may open the market if they introduce a 800 dollar QLED tv.
