Should read be a significant company to contribute £7m to implementation.

Did not really want to raise this issue but the US partner was described as a tier one company which I assumed was the ultimate echelon of US industry. I never thought it had a precise definition which apparently it does. See attached it is the most important company in a supply chain to an OEM.

This could mean someone like Qualcomm or Lumentum who service multiple OEMs including Apple however I would consider Apple as an OEM and would not fall under the definition of tier one. However it is likely to be a silicon wafer provider to Apple and will have to be sign isn’t to pay £7m towards implementation.

Generex seems to be very acquisitive if Excellagen sells well Generex may follow their philosophy of controlling end to end delivery.

I apologise if the attached has already been posted however it is either selective dementia (I think) or I may have genuinely missed it as I have not been keeping up with all posts. I find it interesting Nanos comment on particles relating to sensors for autonomous cars.

Interesting article re sensors for 3D cameras. It is curious that Apple would ask Sony to test a Sony sensor as one would expect Sony to test them as a matter of course in development. The relevant part of the article below “Apple has been in talks with Sony about testing sensors”. This could of course mean that Sony is building the camera but Apple is asking Sony to test 3D sensors from one of their other suppliers or it could just mean they want to use Sony sensors, but you get back to the question why ask Sony about testing their sensors.

Just to reiterate the extension is to the 1st contract to produce the gen 1 product later this year. The second contract is completely separate.

Crow the extension is to the first contract which is the gen 1 product. The extension is to bring the gen1 product to commercial production what is difficult to understand. Commercial production in the second half of this calendar year.

Probably it can be clarified further in that BT said as well as lab scale they then had to prove the product on a scale up basis and that was said in the past tense so that has been achieved so no assumption necessary. Just the final stage which is to test the new production facility. BT also said commercial production either this half or next but we have always been told in the first half of the next financial year.

The first contract which has been extended is for a new product with enhanced performance. This had to be proved as viable once enhanced. One can presume this has been achieved as we have moved to stage 2. This still has to be brought to commercial production. The £7m (£3.5m in each financial year) is made to continue providing this service ie delivery of the first product to commercial production . The second contract is for the next generation material for the product.
