Basscadet Nanosys do in their news say the BFG is heavy metal free. All the specs say it is a qd film. Nanosys do not have a heavy metal free film unless their website is out of date.

Also where is The Nanosys cad free film they have not claimed to have a cad free film and it is not listed on their website and the are not slow in coming forward. If it is cad free it cannot be Nanosys.

Bear in mind Nanosys are already specifically claiming another HP screen based on their dots and it is not in the market yet they do not claim the BFG as theirs.

The cad free claim will not be made lightly in the US I for one cannot believe HP would make such a huge mistake.

Nanosys also state HP are launching a 27” monitor based on their heavy metal free Qds on glass. Reading their product list they only have Hyprian film based on a cad free red and a green light cad dot so not cad free. They are only using heavy metal free dots on glass unless their website is out of date. And unlike other products they do not say the BFG is. Asked on their dots so why not?

Also one further point when the first qd Acer predator/ASU’s there was no claim made these were cad free. So is anyone else making cad free film and been making it long enough to tune it to the spec??

Nanosys Now clearly state the Vizio qd TVs use their dots thro Hitachi film which is described as Rohs compliant and therefore meets current requirements but will not be cad free otherwise the cad free claim would be made. What is interesting they do not make the same claim for the HP BFG which clearly states it is cad free. Is it possible for Hitachi to manufacture cad free film while it is making film for Vizio which is cad light. It would be high risk for a US firm to claim cad free when it is not. Also these screens have been in development for sometime and Nanosys would not hold back to say they have cad free film. So what is going on?!

Here is an interesting article that outlines the next generation sensors required by autonomous cars to make them fully automated they refer to Far Infrared. From the CES blog this would appear to be what Nano is working towards.

Fed should read ces Apple must have a thing about the fed

Just read the fed blog on the Nano website and probably everyone has already picked this up but found this sentence interesting as far as I am aware we have had no direct statement to date about autonomous cars;
“Additional highlights at CES included huge interest around autonomous vehicle-related technologies where Nanoco is using their expertise in nanoparticles to develop the next generation of sensors”

Qd TVs for 699.99 should put some pressure on OEMs to start releasing cheaper qd products

I agree it is more than likely Apple products as they have the track record over many years researching qd options which does appear to be a requirement to integrate the technolgy. So then is the contract with Apple or with Apples tier 1 supplier. Shouldn’t really matter.

In a way this is my preference as it provides access to multiple OEMs and less reliance on one company. Does not make Deutschebanks comment about Apple incorrect as they may be a receiving OEM.
