SP holding up well, slightly positive despite the OPEC+ meeting. This bodes well for post meetings/ tomorrow.

The OPEC+ meeting will start at 2 pm Vienna time (1300 GMT).

The 14th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting is scheduled to take place on
Thursday, 4 March 2021, at 14:00 (CET) via videoconference.
It is planned to livestream the opening speeches through the Organization’s web-
site and official YouTube account

Excellent SP purchase timing KPMAN £1.99 . I am in at 256 and will continue topping up at these current levels with the same long term view. Hope to have the same resolve as you in turning down a 50% profit. Here's to £4 ++ sometime this year.

BT is rising since this announcement. BP next ?

This announcement must be good news for the cost of BP's green agenda.

Announced as the biggest business tax cut in modern British history" companies investing in new plant and machinery assets in the next two years will be able to cut their tax bills by 130% of the cost.

The super deduction will allow businesses to reduce their tax bill by up to 25p for every £1 they invest. This is worth around £25bn to UK companies over the two-year period the scheme will be in effect.

I appreciate that the market is not always logical but would it not be the case that if market had any real concerns over the OPEC+ meeting, or the budget, then BP SP would not be rising this morning ? Each recent SP dip has had less of a drop so 275 again seems improbable. That said top up funds are ready to take advantage of the improbable !!

Hold. I invested in BP with the hope to see strong SP growth over the medium to long term with the benefit of the dividends along the way. I have watched the SP rise and fall recently and while it is possible to trade and make some money I do not feel confident (lucky) enough to get my timing right. I try to focus on my original reason for investing and, if possible, ignore the short term issues.

When I start to question my investment in BP, I have to remind myself that I am a long term investor not a day trader. Daily SP dips or gains are irrelevant ( exception being the opportunity to top up ) . This is a recovery share, it has not recovered yet but it will. Patience will be rewarded. Keep the faith.

Its BP share price prediction puts the stock at an average of £2.62 in March, falling to £1.74 per share by December 2021, £0.64 per share by December 2022 and ZERO by late 2023 unless the market recovers by that time.

Your SP target for December 2022 is uplifting just to read. December 2022 600p..... sounds sound to me. I intend on keeping my SIPP invested in BP to around that date with a cautious oversight along the way. I hope all long term investors will feel uplifted and rewarded in Dec '22. Could I respectfully request your view now on your intention to take some profit at 300p now that we are in touching point? I am interested in your opinion as I intend on continuing to top up in the low 300s and hold.

I agree. It's a temptation on days like this to take profits but my long term goal is around £4 . I'll be topping up when I can sub £3 . Not much time left for this.

Good calls on the SP movement. Bounce back underway (correct again ! ) Personally, I would be very happy for the SP to drop or stagnate until more funds are available to top up again . £17k top up yesterday @ 274 prior to yesterday's US open and after your text on the same. On a slightly positive note. Holding its ground / slightly positive SP on a day when the ftse is down. Grasping at a glass half full here.

I want to second that motion. There are a number of posters on here ( you know who you are and if the cap fits ) that do the graft, put the time in, research and pass on, their views and opinions always reminding all of the importance to DYOR.
