I was saying that the BP results will likely be disastrous (which they are), so you would expect that to have negative impact on us

However things are that crazy BP on a loss of 6.7 billion is Q2 a 17.7 billion loss for the year and a 50% divi cut (first in a decade) is up 6%

Agreed, to be honest Im struggling to get my head around it. It might just be overhang from the downward momentum. The majority of sellers must surely be gone now, JP Morgan are increasing ...

I was but I threw the towel some time back at 200 taking a £34k hit..the only reason I could stomach that was I was well up on PLUS (well worth looking especially now IMHO DYOR!)

I dont think any of this is about fundamentals including customer P&L etc. On such low volume it is in the hands of the traders and those using borrowed shares to bring the price down. We are currently sat in a trading range circa 1143 - 1300

Even today there is an order of 10,000, to sell, being moved around the book, circa 1200, being used as resistance to control the stock under that price point (i.e its 15% of todays SETS volume in one SELL order that traders can see and it wont break through unless a large buy orders comes in - so everyone works under it in small batches)
