As for the claims that the Israelis are close to a vaccine, within three weeks, they claim, and available in ninety days but the issue is how quickly can it be used on humans. A normal drug takes about five years to come to market but you can be sure, if the Chinese found a remedy they would have no compunction but to start using it on their people straight away.

People talk about the horrendous flu epidemic of 1918 but they forget that there was another one in the 1950s also created by the Chinese called the "Asian" flu and it hit in 1957 and lasted until 1958. I was a victim and it was not nice.

As a student in the 1950s I was among hundreds in my school who got the Asian Flu pandemic in 1957. It was not as well reported as the 1918 epidemic when 50m people (it was even thought 100m) died, which was an even larger number than the total of casulaties in WWI but 1957 was bad and thousands died.

So don't expect Coronavirus to leave very quickly and you can expect there will be lorry loads of bodies before it is under control if it is anything like what happened in 1957.

The reason why it was called "Asian" was because that too originated in China and came from mutations between humans and ducks and pigs. If this one can kill as many as in 1957 or even worse then there are going to be a lot of burials in the not too distant future.

The price of oil will go up again when Russia, Saudi Arabia and America stop fighting each other. They all need at least $60 a barrel for their costs and economies.

Saudi needs $70 a barrel to balance its economy as it has nothing other than oil. Russia needs about the same as 60% of its exports are oil and gas and America needs, they say, about $50 a barrel though the experts also think they need about $70 a barrel to get it out of the ground.

So, if these three are the biggest producers of oil and gas and are all losing money, say, at less than $60 a barrel how long do you think they are going to go on fighting?

What this does prove, though, is that self-sufficiency in oil and gas is very important as, otherwise, you are at the whim of foreigners.

For Ireland, where the only real source of gas other than imports is Corrib has already seen a reduction in its output. Last year it only generated 50% of the revenue it had in previous years. "Irish gas supplies will run out within nine years, the CEO of the Irish Offshore Operators Association has warned."

As for coronavirus which, it is claimed, was fabricated in lab next to the market where they claimed it originated in bats that they ate, should be laid squarely at the feet of the Chinese.

Here is a story from today's racing at Cheltenham where one horse "Champ" running at 4/1 was so far behind two other runners with about a quarter of a mile to go that he was quoted in the "Inrunning" betting at 399/1 and he got up to win. Doing a read of the agreement with DCCAE by Kinsale on the decommission of the infrastructure And, by the way, we would not have heard of any agreement between Kinsale and Providence before now as the final approval for the decommissioning was only given on the 24th February 2020. Quote: "On 24 February 2020, the Minister approved The 'Kinsale Head Decommissioning Plan". That took nearly two years from 28th June 2018 until 24th February 2020.

Here are three statements from the plan as defined by Kinsale that are relevant to the infrastructure and possible future uses.

2. "Export pipeline (offshore and onshore section): fill onshore section with grout (if a viable re-use option is not identified) and rock cover of freespans and/or remaining exposed sections in offshore section. "

3. "Pursuant to section 13 of the Petroleum and Other Minerals Development Act 1960
as amended (1960 Act), a petroleum lease was granted in respect of the Kinsale
Head gas fields and facilities in May 1970 (Offshore Petroleum Lease No. 1 (OPL-1)). There are a number of appraisal wells planned in the Barryroe field and the 18” pipeline from Seven Heads to Kinsale Alpha, could be used for export of associated gas from a potential development of that field. "

This was information supplied by Kinsale in its submission to DCCAE regarding the decommissioning for ministerial approval.

On 10 March, the further information considered necessary to enable an EIA screening assessment and determination be made in respect of the Exola application was sought from the applicant.

When received, the additional information will be published on the Department website and further submissions invited to be made on the additional material during a supplemental consultation period of 14 days. Any submissions received will be taken into account in carrying out an EIA Screening Assessment in respect of this application.

Have Providence got the money to run both an EGM and an EGM?

If Providence signed a deal in the near future it is probably 100% certain it with Petronas. KEL have 65 employees between the platforms and the office, has received confirmation of its decommissioning and therefore has a handle on how much that will cost (150km of cement to cover the pipes) and you think Petronas is just going to walk away? €100M perhaps to decommission?

So, any deal with Petronas and KEL is certainly under discussion if they are talking gas. Who else?

I believe this was planned and resulted in O'Reilly walking away as a pre-condition as Petronas would probably never deal with him again after all his shenanigans with KEL in the past. Three times bitten, and perhaps more, demands a wide berth.

I will give you another hint.

Two months ago Linn was promised 15m share options at an exercise price of 4.5p. To get those share options Providence has to hold an EGM or an AGM to allow shareholders to approve them. Why have they not done that?

Obviously we are over two months into a new financial year so there would be no point in holding both an EGM which is optional whereas an AGM is essential within six months of the financial year end.

Now, the accounts for Providence's 2019 could be written on the back of an envelope so why are they taking so long to produce them and hold the AGM?

They promise a deal within six months which will probably be a conditional one on the basis that the potential partner will put up the readies to do the surveys and the evaluations of the gas and I would expect they will put all of these together and announce them at the AGM.

The only reason, therefore, in delaying the AGM is that they are working on a deal which they can announce with the figures and obviously combine it with the terms under which they are going to raise capital.

Otherwise, why take so long to let the shareholders decide on Linn's options, which at a current share price of say 1.5p and a strike price of 4.5p make them a certainty, combined with such a long delay in producing the accounts for 2019?

The fight between Russia, OPEC and America will help Providence as the share price will rise soon enough as all three have too much to lose.

It is currently estimated that Russia and OPEC are losing $500m a day from their economies because they rely so heavily on oil and if it continues it is estimated that they will lose billions if it continues for any great length of time.

America fracking is being hit hard because of the weak oil price and they are losing money hand over fist. Here is the current estimate of fracking now .

Before Providence did its 100:1 share consolidation in 2008 how many shares did it have and what was the price?

Since there were 60m shares after the consolidation that meant there were 6billion shares before.

And how much was each share worth? Well, as somebody mistakenly calculated last week Providence shares at their peak were worth £8 but they did not realise that was the price after the consolidation which meant that you had a new 1:100 share at 8p.

So in 2008, Providence had 6billion shares at 8p and they did not have two sticks to rub together so we have a long way to go until we get back to that.

Now we have 600m and even if they issue 400m at say 2p (still only a fraction of the number in 2008) they will have enough money to hang on for years. After all, costs must now be down to less than £2m a year so that gives them a good four years just doing nothing and with only three of them they can have a bonanza.

Interesting point in the article in the Examiner which might have been missed is when he said "His commitment to Providence could be measured in the long-term share options agreement he had with the firm, Mr Linn said."

The 15m shares at an option price of 4p are exercisable in 5m lots at the end of each of the three years 2021, 2022 and 2023. So he has a year to ge the price over 4p to make any money the first year and then substantially higher than that in those years to make any real money.

Nice pension if he can pull it off.

So don't write Providence off even if they do not pull a deal within the six months as they have promised because it has no debt and plenty of equity to raise cash.

Saudi Arabia, totally dependent on oil needs $72 to keep its economy afloat..

And American fracking, which has been borrowing like mad to keep producing says it needs $50 a barrel to frack but the market says it is closer to $70 just to get it out of the ground.

As for China, which has poisoned half of the world's population by creating the coronoavirus in a lab which "jumped" into that market is now in lockdown with the possibility thousands of its people will die is running around like a headless chicken.

And then we have Tullow, the ex-home of our leaders. You can buy their shares today for the princely sum of 17.5p. Tullow has lost, percentage wise, about 95% of its value from its high. Providence and Lansdowne have probably done about the same.

Wake up and smell the coffee and take your tablets. You can hardly de-ramp Providence shares any more than you have already done, you poor depressive. You can now buy them for the price of old Green Shield Stamps and a punt on them has more chance of success than most of the horses running this week at Cheltenham.
