Is there a sense we will not get an operational update with news about the second block awaiting licensing to MATD, a signed agreement and licence awarded for our crude sales to Petro China, etc etc.

Is this now all expected at the AGM??

I would like to think that MB is doing a lot of horse trading at this time and that he has a lot of offers for investment to consider the best and most profitable route for the benefit if the share holders.

We will soon see!

I sincerely agree and hope the positions and terms for the MATD projects are rock solid. I also hope that MB and MATD's long term strategy and patience will be totally rewarded and honoured.

I believe it will and should be. As long as really big and super powerful investors coming to the table doesn't turn heads and undermine our rewards.

The important point here for all, regardless of what is stated and the use of words and possibilities of what is actually inferred or not in this report, is that a very very senior representative from China is in Mongolia sorting out some big future agreements with the MG.

This is likely to be with others too. They state to discuss transport etc. Everything about the signing of the contract for the sale of crude including transport and refining etc, as a service agreement, is gently within the outline details of this meeting.

This smells good to me. Itchy right palm feeling coming on!

Doc - I think this will be good house keeping. Put the option in place and have all options available to do the very best for the company and share holders.

They wouldn't need it if other parts were sold or JV or friendly terms with soft finance available.

If they bit big in Block VII, and the SP was say 20p per share, they may raise then for a few tens of millions then to sink wells. They will be able to because of this option put in now.

Lots of speculation and guess work happening here, myself included. But the sense something big and good is landing feels right to me.

Interesting ideas being bounced around. My gut is still not raise. I think that everyone can see logically there are good options coming to MARD with funding through sale of Block XX, part sale of Block XX or borrowing options potentially possible.

Does anyone think it possible to sell of JV the Heron field only in Block XX and keep Gobi for the company? Thoughts anyone?

To put this briefly.

1. Ministry if mining stated first 100 days of 2025 for total focus on oil. Why? IMO because if they don't have everything resolved before Easter, they will miss the 2025 drilling season and they will miss their targets for oil to the new refinery. The MG are getting desperate now!

2. New Block VII. A capital spend of $980k in the first two years and then $14million over the 8 year period. Why? IMO because MB and the board are planning their expenditure around the income generated from Heron to meet the refinery requirements. This is in their business plan.

3. Very slow time for simple sales agreement to be signed and for the export licence to be issued. Why? IMO because they are talking about much more than selling the crude for cash.

4. Two years ago MATD went to the IOM to register a new company, Petro Matad Energy Ltd with a large delegation of officials which MB has now stated was set up for the JV opportunities and they have put the block VII into this new business. Why? IMO this shows a very long term planning strategy and negotiation with potential JV partners and the MG about developing the bigger picture.

MB has invested heavily. He has always frustrated us all with his lack of clear transparency. And yet, the clues are all there.

It doesn't matter which side of the gooseberry bush one looks at, this is laden with fruit and it is starting to ripen and will need picking soon!

I stated months ago about my sense that the negotiations with the Chinese and MG is potentially much more than signing a contract for selling crude oil for cash. It seems that this is becoming more and more obvious as time passes and on this board people can see that.

If the contract agreement and export licence is not announced this week, as planned, then I will take heart that bigger things are happening. Big time.

The next RNS, if this week, should be excellent. The AGM could be an absolute cracker.
