Yes, wallact I am with you in your thoughts. We are here in pretty much ugly but clear situation. Its looks like bureaucratic rats of the highest level made it hard for Matad to get green light for drilling last year and now when have smelled of real oil decided put one more problem. This is really disgusting but totally artificially created situation. And I have feelings that it will be overcome as quickly as it was created. I do not exclude also that someones who wanted to grab these shares for cheapest price have got them. Which means previous level of SP will be restored very soon and right now this a great opportunity to buy these shares for such a ridiculously low price.

I wonder how many times PM will bring us such such nasty surprises: first Bergen and now Provincial Government. I tend to agree with Sundaysun and macd_91 with his assumptance of ...."we haven't got enough of a slice of this pie". And if its true then it is the most disgracfull situation I couldn't even imagine. Especially taking in account how often Mike has spoken about allegedly comprehensive support to PM by Mongolian government. If it would be so then why this very strange and sudden problem didn't solve without stopping the drilling? Or if isn't all of agreements had been in place already prior to drilling why they started drilling? If Mike do not start to act very determinedly and will be not able to rectify this situation quickly it will apparently means neither we nor even Mike does know which business environment there is Mongolia. I personally thought that Mongolia should wish to prosper as China, where even for try to get a bribe can sentenced to deth. But situation there looks like as it would be in Russia. Let's hope that Mike will be able to sort out this ugly situation asap.

Approximately the same time has spent the legendary geologist Salmanov who in 1959 decided to move with his exploration team of volunteers to Surgut in Siberia without the consent of the Soviet authorities. According to the doctrine prevailing at the time in the Soviet geological science Siberia was not considered an oil-bearing region. The authorities even tried to initiate criminal prosecution of Salmanov, but had to give a post factum approval of his mission when his team threatened they would go on strike. And soon when Salmanov struck his first oil in March 1961 he sent all his opponents similar telegrams: "Dear comrade, an oil fountain is gushing from the depth of 2,180 meters. Is it clear?"

This is exactly how the legendary oil geologist Farman Salmanov, being 30 years old only, has discovered huge reserves of Soviet oil. It was done in the 60-70s of the last century and in the most remote corners of the Siberian taiga where no one expected it. And he did it without the newest technical oil exploration tools but mainly due to his intuition.
