Mickeytentoes, all of those who decided to invest in Beowulf most likely were mislead and trapped into the Swedish wild taiga by the previous founders of the company and its management. Those who was able to orientate on time went out. Others, and perhaps "the most intelligent ones", took this as an orientation game in this wild taiga and playing it till now with pleasure. And they are really very smart, because God empowers everyone with a mind so justly and with so much that no one complains about its lack, even fools. Lol

Of course, hypnotically it can happen that oil may not be found in any of all 3 forthcoming wells. But, the probability of this so negligible that not to notice and not to take advantage from it is a sign of dementia. I can’t imagine how someone being in his right mind was unable to appreciate the simple fact that all 3 drillings taking at oil bearing places, not saying that one of them just only 1 km away where oil is already produced. After all, any normal person can go crazy by loosing such not just one but multiple great chances. That's why I think that they are already crazy, if didn't see and take advantage of such an obvious and brilliant opportunity.

I hope tomorrow RNS will appear with the message that the issue has been settled and removed from the agenda. The continuation of this disgrace, without clarification what is going on would mean Matad is being blackmailed by corrupt officials. In such a situation Mike and Petrovis should not be afraid and reach the most highest level of power and remind where it will lead if this arbitrariness against Matad receives worldwide publicity. The authorities will have to compensate not only the financial damages to the company itself. But also to bear all of responsibility for the multimillion-dollar damage associated with the final lose of the already not very high image of the country where foreign investors would like to invest money.

I agree with you, flava. But it’s time for Mike to prove that he was right when in all his presentations claimed that the Mongol government strongly supported the company. If he was mistaken and the real crooks are sitting there, then I think he must move people and equipment towards the Gazelle without wasting precious time. And strongly warn these crooks that all responsibility for this arbitrariness and compensation for all financial and other losses would be a heavy burden on them. I hope that RNS with complete clarity about the current situation and those specific actions that the company’s management intends to take will appear right in Monday morning.

No, I did not, Sundaysun. I don’t think that Mike is to blame for a tripartite agreement between two central government agencies and the province has not been executed. And this is clearly stated in the RNC: “Company has followed the land permitting regulations as required under the PSC and in accordance with instructions from the Ministry of Mining and the industry regulator MRPAM. The absence of a tripartite land use agreement between government agencies has never previously been an issue."
It’s quite clear to me that some bureaucratic rats have smelled oil and began to obstruct, extorting bribes. And in these conditions along with some diplomacy it is also necessary to show a strict character and readiness to fight back to the extent that the owners of Petrovis and all the leadership of Matad will be capable of. Otherwise, the company could become under constant state racketeering, as is the case in Russia.

I agree, cosmiclightning. We may not get an answer from Mike himself. Especially now when this ugly ban has fallen on him and he must overcome it asap. But he must know about our extreme concern of this attack against company and our readiness to fight back. After all we can rise our voices in the media space and the Internet in such a way that many foreign investors will hear and start to seriously think whether or not to make investment in this country where are a lot of crooks in the highest echelons of power.

But what was happened it is just disgusting. Clearly the central goverment officials are treated Matad as a some kind of local crap enterprise and not as an international company listed on world stock markets. It is obvious that without the knowledge of these officials such outrage could not happen. They have perfectly knew that absence of some kind of contract between government agencies has nothing to do with Matad and its drilling programm. And instead of lifting drilling ban immediately and punished their own officials for abuse of authority or failure to fulfil their direct duties they decided unceremoniously stop Matad's business activity at Heron. And that is a clear sign of their direct involvement in this dirty game.
I have e-mailed Mike today and asked to act in most decisive way and remind all of those crooks how serious consequences of such kind of actions can have. And that is needed not only for to overcome todays ugly situation but to prevent it happening again.
